I have to put a sunroof sun cover in our Yukon glad you're doing this video I have the new shade cover but the Yukon doesn't have one in it someone removed it I hope I can get the new one in... Great information video for me Good to see ya Manifesto!

Ya my rear lower quarter panels have more rivets than the Goodyear blimp! 😂 But I dented them all into the metal too recess them some then I grinded them down to as thin as possible without loosing the grip so when I do my bondo work it's less as thick its just a temporary fix for now till I weld in the full new lower panels im just saving cindy cash right now with my unorthodox body work methods lol" ... I was doing my sunroof Friday and started to get serious pain in my abdomen and my butt 😂 I ended up in the ER for an emergency surgery so I'm laid up for two weeks in bed soon as I'm all healed up I'll get my sunroof shade installed and finished Taking the sunroof out was easier than expected definitely glad you did this video helped me a lot! Ya when I'm done with our Yukon I'll shoot a video of my finished look heck I might even just leave the quarters with bondo if it turns out well enough for me it won't stop it from running so why not if it's all looking good😂...

Thanks for the video! The exact same thing happened to my sunroof cover on my mk4 Jetta. Is there any chance you did a video on the actual reunholstering process?

No I just removed the cover and left it out 🤣

You said Bora in the title, I have a 2005 one. But it to put the sunroof on tilt I have to turn to knob to the right instead of pressing it in. You think it’s the same sunroof?

It's cause yours is the later one, same process just the switch is different.

I wonder if lighter fluid would help take that orange sticky stuff off? It works great on guitar parts and removing sticky price tags from things.🤔

Could be with a shout, I was going to try white spirit but that stuff gives you a headache. Worst case light fluid and ignite it 🤣🔥
