Thank you this does help. I plan to make many mods to the mirror. Add a sequential led turn signal (no light currrently), add 360 camera, blind spot monitoring & change to wide lens with blue tint

Hi I have a 2012 wrx sti and my folding wingmirror has stopped working . The motor is constantly making a noise but the mirror won't fold out. Do you know how I get access to the motor inside ?thanks

Hi remove the interior trim panel, top quarter, this gives you access to the bolts and electrical connector for the mirror. From here you can either disconnect the connector or remove the mirror and repair it in the bench or simply replace the entire mirror with a 2nd unit.
