Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today I show you how to remove and replace cabin air filter on my 2005 Subaru Outback XT. To my knowledge, this process is same for the following:
2005 Subaru Outback (All trims)
2006 Subaru Outback (All trims)
2007 Subaru Outback (All trims)
Link for the air filter I use below!
Hope you enjoyed!

I just went through this whole process on my ‘05 OBXT and I can tell your glove compartment was modified where they added that rectangular cutout to get the filter tray out through. It’s actually a great idea, but the bottom rails of the plastic filter tray must be modified also for it to slide out. Thanks for the video!

I am completely stuck at 2:05 My glovebox does not 'come out real quick' like it says in the video. It is completely fixed at the pivot points to the plastic housing and no amount of tugging it every which way allows it to come out. Without the whole glovebox coming out, there is no way to slide out the filter.

I want to talk about your stereo. How did you get that going with the climate controls retained?

Fun fact: Cabin air filters were an option for this car. When I picked mine up, despite the dealer stating it was changed, it didn't even have a cabin air filter. 200k miles

In relation to the cabin filter where is the port that controls the recirculate air door? I believe it is close to there. Thanks

Why are there other videos showing that you have to remove the whole interior of the car? I’ve heard the ‘05 models are a pain, but ‘06 and later were easy.

I have no idea but that is how I always thought you had to do it. This way is much easier.

@@fitzy0008 just changed mine, mine was nothing like in this video I had to take the entire glove box apart and remove the big plastic part from the dash, was a super pain.

Yup, mine doesn't have that removable insert nor the plate with the three screws. It seems like they are so many variables with this year's model. I find videos and the parts in my Subaru just don't match up at all. My cabin air filter is further towards the right inside the dash making it impossible to remove through the slot after removing the glove box.
