hey what's up guys it's Levi I got another how-to for you today I'm going to show you how to separate the hinges for an exterior door so that you can remove it first thing that you're going to need is something that you can Lodge underneath the door between the door and the floor on the inside the reason you need something like this is because this door is an extremely heavy door it's just about 100 pounds and so you want something that can support the door while you remove the hinge pins we're going to slightly open the door and then put something underneath the door to support it and then we're going to remove those hinge pins you do this with a punch and a hammer so we're going to go about the underside of the hinge pins with the punch and the hammer until they pop out now this door the center hinge has a set screw so we're going to need to undo that set screw with an allen head before we can remove that pin once we remove all three pins then the door will just slide out of the hinges and that's pretty much it
