Hi, my driver side front and rear outer door handles are not in a good condition - the color coating on the inside of the handle is partially worn. My idea was, instead of having them repainted, replace them with second hand parts that are in good condition. Your video is really detailed and well edited - thanks for that! But still I'm really not sure if I can take everything apart without braking anything or messing sth. up. I'm especially concerned about diconnecting/connecting the lock/handle rods and the whole opening/locking mechanism. I've contacted a guy on ebay who's selling the second hand parts and asked about their condition. If he says the paint is undamaged I'll probably pull myself together and try replacing them. Hopefully it'll go well!

Hi, great video.. is it hard to swap the door locks when you have the handle off?? Thinking of swapping my handles for ones that are in better condition.. just wondered would the locks need to be changed too? Thanks

pab1it0 Thanks. None of the parts are for sale, they went right back on the car after I vinyl wrapped it. And I’m in the US, so I’m not even sure they would be good for a non USDM car, but I wouldn’t want to deal with trying to ship anything to Australia anyway.

What if you cant put the window down

I would focus on getting that fixed first if possible. Do you know why it doesn’t go down? Electrical issue? Mechanical? Opening the door up like this would give access to investigate further.
