its better to use the Noise Gate rather than the Noise Reduction, I then put the gate to the -35 DCb try using that

Hi there! Audacity has a built-in effect called "Vocal Reduction and Isolation" which you can try to use for this purpose. Just select the audio you want to remove vocals from and go to Effect > Vocal Reduction and Isolation. Choose the Remove Vocals preset in the dialog box and hit OK. Audacity will process the audio and remove the vocals. You can preview and tweak the settings too. I hope that helps!

just so headache ! i get sudden sound from traffic, then the water pipe, or maybe suddenly someone outside the house talking.... all these comes suddenly every time so annoying

I had that same problem was doing a video game review outside and all I hear is birds chirping in the background when I replay the video. I’m like god damnnn I did all this and that happens .

If the noise reduction effect in Audacity is lowering your voice, it might be because the tool is having trouble distinguishing between your voice and the background noise. Try adjusting the settings of the noise reduction effect to better isolate your voice. Alternatively, you can use the ‘Amplify’ or ‘Normalize’ effects to increase the volume of your voice. However, these effects will also amplify any noise, so it’s best to use them after applying noise reduction. Don't forget to create a backup of your original recording before applying any effects. Oh no! When removing background noise, make sure that you're only selecting the 'noise profile' and not the entire audio track. Double-check those noise reduction settings and don't crank them up too high, as important audio bits might get removed. Also, always utilize the 'preview' to recheck the audio. Yes, Audacity can remove static noise from audio. Try this: Open the file, highlight a portion of audio with only static, go to "Effect" and select "Noise Reduction". Click "Get Noise Profile", then "Close". Choose the track or section you want to fix, go to "Effect" again, pick "Noise Reduction", and click "OK" to remove the static. Hope this helps!

Hi! You can totally use Audacity's 'Noise Reduction' feature to minimize wind noise. Just locate a part of your recording that only has the wind noise, and then apply the Noise Reduction effect. For optimal results, choose a gentle setting to avoid distorting your main audio. Also, consider using windscreens on your microphones to prevent this problem in future recordings. Why it doesn't work for me...? I select 2 sec of noise and set the noise profile than select entire track and apply.. did the process like 3 times even increasing db and that click noise still there..useless software

If you're having trouble removing background noise in Audacity, there could be a few reasons why. Perhaps the background noise is overpowering the main sound or it's too inconsistent. It's also possible that you haven't found the optimal settings yet. Have you tried experimenting with the settings or isolating the noise in a mono-track?

For some reason audacity doesn't safe the effect to my audio. I go through the steps, basically clear all the noise, and then when I play the audio again, it's the same.
