Hi, are you referring to the numbers above the knob? if so, you need to see if you find something in a different order

Oh looks same as my a3 s line knob and it's pretty worn down can't find 1 with red trim anywhere for a3

South England, Bournemouth. It looks the same but sometimes can be 1mm out or even a slight shape difference

Set a 24mm socket on hard surface, set aligned retainer ring and knob onto socket, thump top of knob, ring clips into place. I did try fitting it by hand, not even a wee hope of squeezing it on..

is it taller tha the original?

another note: using your trim removal kit, or something thin and flat like the handle from TIMBER disposable utensils (I used a spoon, as the ‘head’ is easier to grip) and try sliding it down between the leather boot and plastic/chrome bezel, on either of the SIDES, not from the front or back, the boot just pops out with a gentle pry/slide 🙂

Incredible how you can let your car go to waste. Ugh! What a neglected, dirty vehicle. I would be ashamed to film something like that and show it to the whole world on KZread. But yes, it probably doesn't look much better at home. Ugh! How about cleaning it?
