How to Remove and Install Scion xA Valve Cover Gasket - 2006
What you need? 10mm long and short socket 12mm Socket, flexible head 3/8" drive ratchet , flat hat screwdriver(skinny kind), flashlight, cloth rag, a hand plier, a rubber mallet.
And plenty of time 45minutes to 1.5 hrs if you want to do it carefully.
1. Make sure you unplug the car battery terminal just to be safe
2. Unloosen the 2 rubber tubing/hoses on the right side of engine valve cover by pressing on the metal clips and place them gently near the car battery. The aluminum short tube end will be exposed as in the video on the engine after you remove hoses.

Did you find the cause of the dark spots
Thanks for video. I'm about to check mine. 250000 miles started leaking oil. Just keep dumping a quart about every 1000 or so miles. For me that's every week or so.... Work is far But car is in great shape. Just lil love and care. Thanks again
Is there required torque for the valve cover? Tools: 10mm socket for plastic cover, ignition coils, and valve cover removal (12mm socket for 2 front bolts for wiring) Plastic mallet to softly dislodge valve cover. May need flathead to gently pry open.
Probably a lot o people wonder about that timing chain... VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing intelligence?) By the way, how is it? How many miles on the car?
