    This right here is why KZread and creators like yourself are awesome.. A guitar pick had fallen down into my keyboard...jamming my F#! I would have had no clue about what to do...other than madly unscrewing things....followed your instructions and tonight...order is restored and my F# is happily playing the game again!! Thanks so much. (Oh, and I even got my guitar pick back too:)

    I bought a second hand Yamaha YDP-121 and used this video to remove and clean the keys. I never worked out why one of my D keys was sticking but it improved when I switched it for the highest one up the keyboard that I will rarely use. Thanks for the help.

    Thank you so so much. We have had our Yamaha for 17 years, and when one of the keys started sticking we thought it meant it was time to buy another whole piano. I just happened to stumble on this video and thanks to you I managed to change the (cracked) key. I would previously have been to scared to open it up and try to rectify the issue, but you had such a positive 'can do' tone in the way you described the operation, you made me believe I could do it! You have saved us a small fortune, we really appreciate it.

    great video ... changed 4 keys on our cvp107 - few different screws location but straightforward after watching this. However the keys are less heavier and make a slight clicking sound when played - assume it's because they are newer and not 'worn in' or perhaps they are made with different materials - any thoughts?

    Great video! I replaced two (2) "D" keys following your excellent instructional video. When I reassembled the piano (P-120) I noticed about 1/8" play on them (Foreware to rearward) They play ok but I think I must have missed a slot on the underside of the keys for the Key Spring. I dread taking it all apart again. Would it be the key spring that allows this amount of front to rear play in the keys>

    I wish I'd found your video before I opened up my piano! I have a yamaha clp-585, it's 10 years old and getting a little clunky so I bought new felts and replaced them. Whilst doing that, I flipped the keyboard and some of the keys came out. Eventually I figured out that they hook in front and back and got them all back in. The only problem now is that the black keys don't seem to sit as tightly as they did before, and so they wobble and make more noise than they did before! Any ideas what I've done wrong?

The technician just fix the white part on top (visible at 2:22 on your video) with some small cable tight all along. Apparently, it is amortiser of the metal who hit it.....it's okay, but still a bit noisy. So I wish to replace it... Could you tell me where to find/buy such soft material? Thanks

    I've got two keys where the little black rubber tab on the underside has disappeared. They're probably in the mechanism somewhere, but I don't fancy trying to fish them out. I also have two black keys missing the grey plastic piece that stops sideways motion. Any ideas for how I can get those parts, or come up with a substitute? I tried some blu tack on the underside and it's better than a gap, but it gets squished very quickly. It's quite annoying, as I opened it up to fix some keys that hit maximum loudness and thought I might as well do some cleaning under the keys, in addition to cleaning the rubber contacts. These work great now and I've figured out how to replace all the keys properly (including those where the spring had to be popped back in) but I've just got those 2 severely dysfunctional keys and 2 wobbly ones, that I'd ideally like to resolve before getting all of the screws back in place.

  • @1yasin6

    @1yasin6

    4 жыл бұрын

    I don't think its the key if its still in place.Or isn't it correctly in place an the key is heavy because it rubs against the sides? because the heaviness is determined by the spring so this is most likely the issue. Maybe it would work if you bent it a little bit but maybe if won't work / work for long. Replacing it should do the trick.

    Hi I am having problems with 100% loud notes with P-515, then opened it and found that NWX is just GH3 with woden keys and trick cheat rubber of-circuit to make escapement fell (it is marked as GH3 inside contact board, with NWX "added" to it). Can you post where you get those extra keys and if that store sell some contact rubber will help too.

    Does anyone know how to do this with a CVP 209 there are no screw's on the back. I want to take off the top and lid to polish them due to heavy scratches.

    Used this tutorial to help me swap out some sticking keys on my 18 year old clp-130! Super helpful. However the knife trick was not a good one for me. I ended up snapping off the black plastic tab that I was pressing on on two of the keys. Somehow everything went back together just fine, but I don't know how long this will last before I have to replace the whole keyboard now that the tabs have broken

    Hi Stephanie! I recently had the same issue happen. I pressed a bit too hard while removing one key and the black plastic broke. Did you happen to ever resolve this issue? Thank you!

    @@jennifertrecartin2869 hi! I haven't had any issues with these specific keys since I swapped them and it's been about two years, so I'd say it was successful despite the broken pieces lol. Good luck!!
