Good luck thank you for watching and stay cool this summer
Excellent information I know our viewers will appreciate the tips. Thanks for writing.
Just cleaned mine. Vacuum worked pulling the caked on dust out of the bottom back grate without removing anything. Wait till theres enough of a layer of dust and the vacuum should be able to pull it off. Run the hose back and forth to agitate the dust to come off. Also used a can compressed air to get it started. The back grate has a bit of bend to it so you can push and get a couple milimeters closer to the dust. Every bit helps. Good luck guys.

I figured out how to remove the whole back of the unit in order to clean the back grate! First, remove the 6 screws on the back of the unit. On the bottom of the unit, there are two more screws on the right and left side holding little plastic tabs. Remove those screws, and pull the little plastic tabs really hard, trying to separate the two halves of the plastic case. The case will start to pop apart at the seam at the bottom, and you'll see the two sides of the case are secured with interlocking plastic tabs. Just use brute strength to separate the two sides of the case, un-clicking the tabs. I believe there are three tabs on each side. I was a little scared to yank, because I thought they might break, but they didn't - just yank the case apart at the seam starting from the bottom to uncouple it tab by tab. Once I removed the case I had easy access to the condenser air intake and could just use a butterknife and a vaccum to remove off the inch of dust that had collected. The case clicked back together effortlessly after I was done, re-screwed the screws and turned it on and it worked PERFECTLY again. I have no idea why they made this goddamn unit without a removable filter for the condenser air intake! Thank god I now know I can clean it by removing the case. I hope this helps someone!
Excellent glad to hear it. Stay cool this summer.
Excellent stay cool this summer
They will pop off you just have to get a little pressure on them and then you can get them off and clean them. Good luck. Thanks for watching. Happy holidays.

Still researching this
You can pull the filters out and I would use the hose to clean them with a nozzle so that you’ve got lots of pressure and just squirt them as hard as you can to get the stuff off. Good luck thanks for watching.

I have the same thing but it has a tube that goes into the window and lets out most of the humidity.. I do still drain it but not too often.. I wish the vents would stay up when I angle them upward but they always fall back.. also never tilt these things even slightly they will leak everywhere

Yes, they are very limited and they’re usually just for getting by if your AC went down and you needed something to cool your house. I don’t think they’re meant to continuously run but good luck. Stay cool thanks for watching.
Hi Tom! I have this AC but it was blowing warm air and I realized it was because the very bottom vent was absolutely CAKED with dust. But there’s no filter to pull out so I was just getting it out bit by bit with tweezers. Is there anything else I can do?! I got out as much as I could but there’s still a good amount in there that I can’t get out. Thank you!

I think that you can maybe try to vacuum it out
do you happen to know why the buttons on the control panel won't work? it was feeling a little warm in the room, so i went to turn off the ac (same model as the one shown in the video) and then when it turned back on the display said 00. and now none of the buttons are doing anything but the display is stuck on 00. i have reset it and tested it using the buttons several times, what's wrong with it?

What about if it shows you e5 on the screen is that because of the water or filter to be cleaned out
@TomLeeman

A dirty filter may be causing condensate to freeze and thaw within the unit, dripping into the water collection tank, and causing the E5 error code. Power off your air conditioning unit, and unplug the unit from the socket. Remove the filter carefully to clean it. Stay cool this summer.
What about building up dust in the area directly above the drain spout? I have unscrewed the 8 screws holding the back/side/top panel but I cant seem to pop it off

The heat exchange inlet coils on the bottom, they have no filters and they get caked with solid dust over time, how to you clean the dust off? Vaccum barely works.

I’m currently experiencing the same dilemma. I’m using a steak knife and vacuum cleaner but that will take me all night. Can’t figure out how to get housing off to actually get to the dust. 😢 😩
@kirchtv

I had to completely remove the housing of the unit to get to these effectively. Locate the screws scattered around the base of the unit and unscrew them. The housing/plastic cover was a serious challenge to remove for me but with some effort I got it off and cleaned it

Would you happen to know why this unit has stopped blowing COLD air…..filters cleaned and unit drained but still no change. It stays at 73 which I assume is the room temperature, but it will not blow anything colder even though I have it set for 65😞😞

They have limited capabilities depending on the room size and how hot it is you get about 15°. I think this one was for a room of about 350 feet.
