What if there's no attachment but it's just stuck? I can't pull it out.

What about vacuum attachments that don’t have a latch??

Thank you
Now put a clip in its place. Sorted.
Thanks a lot now it’s broken can’t put it back on
Doesn't work on Dyson. There is no cover to pry off. It is integrated into the vacuum body.
Thank you for this video. I was about to force the attachment off mine and destroy the whole thing. This saved my Hoover

Excellent! Glad this was helpful!
I have exactly this problem with exactly this part. But I'm having a heck of a time finding any place online to order a replacement. Any hints?

Such a replacement part is not available online that I've seen. You would have to order a completely new replacement attachment, and they are not cheap. Type in your make and model online, and you should be able to come up with several ordering options. My vacuum cleaner is a Eureka canister. Eureka may also make other brands as well.
Not very helpful ; most attachments do not have a latch !

If you do this, you're not actually breaking it more than it was already broken; you're snapping off the latch cover. Which can be snapped back on. I've been doing this (snapping it off and on) for months now, but I'm tired of that, so I'm looking to buy a replacement attachment (or just the collar, if possible).
