I am ridiculously grateful that you made this. I've had a 2003 Dodge Caravan and for the past three years I've had to remove the seats and bench for the summer and replace them in the winter. Every time I've had to reinstall the seats and bench it's been a nightmare since the manual's directions could not be less helpful. And of course, once accomplished I'd forget how to do it by the time the next autumn rolled around. Fortunately this year I found your video and it's saved me a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. You did a superb job of conveying the surprisingly tricky essentials of the bench installation. And happily for me I'm now selling my Caravan so I will never, ever have to grapple with this PITA task ever again! You have a real gift for clear communication, and I'm sincerely appreciative you took time to create this video.

No where in the manual does it say to push the lever all the way down, and there isnt even a section about doing this. this video saved me ! thank you

OMG thank you for this. I just bought a 2003 Dodge Caravan and accidentally took the seat out while seeing what the latches do. It was an absolute nightmare because I didn’t know how to get it back in place, I ended up damaging the plastic as you showed but I was just so relieved when I got it back in place. Thanks again!

I own 2006 Grand Voyager and live outside town so cant get helping hand for that rear bench removed ( my back is realy bad). It weights not less 200 pounds(80kg). For that Iam going to weld like fork on rolers so I can pull bench straight on it and roll away. I hope it work.

How hard do you think it would be to flip the 2nd-row seats so it's facing the 3rd row? I can't seem to find anyone who's done it for a 2014 Dodge Caravan RT. It seems like it would make more space and better for commuting with others more fun. Thoughts?

Are the seats interchangeable

When removing the middle seat, how do you disconnect the seat belt that's anchored to the side of the bench seat?

I have a 1998 grand caravan I tried to remove the seat and for my surprise I would need to hire a bodybuilder to lift the seats!!! So freaking heavy!!!

Yes, the seats are surprisingly heavy! It takes me and one of my young, strong sons to wrestle it out.

Not with this particular model -- which is a 2003 Dodge Caravan. You would have to have a newer minivan with "stow-and-go" seating.

It does in my 2016 Dodge Caravan, but not in this 2003 model.

Too bad you can’t just put a single seat in the middle two tracks. You can be the Captain calling the shots to the helm and navigator upfront 😂

This video doesn't quite answer my question. I am regretting buying the 2017 Grand Caravan SE I got just yesterday. At the car lot I saw the stow and go compartments and it didn't enter my aged befuddled brain that a second row smaller BENCH SEAT would not fold in there. I don't have those plastic guides on the floor, only the steel hooks. I lowered the levers on the back and the back wheels popped out, but it looks like the front is latched into other hooks. I can't see any way to unlatch them. Seat of course doesn't slide forward because of those hooks. I'm 76 yo female and I've about twisted my back all to heck working on this for hours. HELP!!! How do I get the front unhooked so I can remove this frigging seat?

Good question! This video was for a 2003 Grand Caravan. I now have a 2016 Grand Caravan but have never needed to remove the middle bench seat. I'll have to research that one.

So are the 2nd and third rows mounted the same way? Could a seat in the 2nd row be remounted in the 3rd row? I'm looking at an 06 caravan with only a 2nd row.

Will this work on a 1995 Nissan Quest?

Mine was stuck in place too, but I got it loose. I guess it was the first time it was moved in 19 years. It will slide if you give it a big push from the rear with the lever pulled.

I have removed the back seat many times and never knew that you could even slide it forward, so I would say it does not appear you need to.

That's great but some idiot broke the levers off! So now what?
