    Abhay this video is just an alternative way to edit sample. Just another way. I did not say one has to always use audacity inside Ableton. There are many other ways in/out ableton too. So chillax. Have a great day.

    4 жыл бұрын

    First of all i would like to thanks for watching my video. I guess you mean to say to use Audacity inside Ableton as a plug in. No that's not possible, but yeah audacity can be opened via ableton as your wav editor. You need to simply go on to Live PREFERENCES - click on FILE & FOLDER option - Inside SAMPLE EDITOR choose Audacity as your audio editor. So now all the changes done in your audio in audacity, if opened from Ableton will change the audio in ableton accordingly. To do all this first you need t install audacity on you pc/ mac. Hope this solves your questionnaire :-)

    Hi Benjamin, thanks for watching my tut. Yes the edit option should reflect with lite version in sample editor window...i guess so....as i work on Ableton Suite so i m not sure, but its a small option, might be there. Go to Live PREFERENCES - click on FILE & FOLDER option - Inside SAMPLE EDITOR choose Audacity as your audio editor. So now all the changes done in your audio in audacity, if opened from Ableton will change the audio in ableton accordingly. To do all this first you need t install audacity on you pc/ mac. hey, even though I export my audacity file in the same place as the old file, it for some reason doesn't appear inside Ableton as changed even though it does ask to replace the file.

  • @djanishanand

    @djanishanand

    3 жыл бұрын

    JUST CLICK YES...replace the file and wait for few seconds....the new sample appears in the ableton instead of the old file on its own. If not then there might be a glitch. Turn off ableton and switch it on again and then try the same process. Hope this solves the issue. Cheers

    Hey ,that didn't work ,even restarting didn't change it,I played around with everything,it's like a big issue since I cannot reduce noise of each mini audio clip of backing vocals ,even after clicking yes to replace,it doesn't exactly replace is what I noticed,it adds extra number Infront of the file name and stores it and even trying to overwrite isn't working

    The auto tune kind of sound is due to settings. You need to play with Noise Reduction, Sensitivity & Frequency until you get results as per your taste. This can take up time. Hope this solves the issue.

    Well you can always use gate or any other ableton effects but this video tells you how to reduce noise with 3rd party plug in via Ableton for example Audacity, that will not work inside ableton, but you can open Audacity via Ableton. Check out the video and you'll get an idea what i am trying to say here :-) Its just another way to reduce noise.

    @@gnanuayysola2057 First download Audacity to your system.
