Thank you Saulo you're the best. I found myself very confused with 1/3 pot size cbets since they wouldn't generate many folds in my opinion vs regs and fish and I would find myself having to triple barrel vs regs to get them to fold but by putting in big bets versus their capped ranges on the flop and turn they seem to respond very poorly by either calling too much or folding too much. I find the big bet strategy much simpler to understand. I also didn't know about this timing tell vs 3bets i noticed it right away in my previous session vs a reg. He 3bet quick most times and then those 2 occasions he tanked 3bet so I 4bet with Q9o and KTo and he folded twice.

another great video, it's cool to see how you pay attention to the timing tell, I don't know if you remember or even used a software called "Timemojo", it appeared there around 2016/2017 where it was used precisely to mark how long the opponent took to react, and usually the longer it takes, the more bluffs it contains in the range, mainly preflop which was the most reliable street they had done this data analysis, too bad (or not) that the software was later banned by all rooms, very nice hand the shove from 44, GL!

One problem with having a good red line you lose equity in the pots where you’re not playing for a ton of stacks with your best holding after 3 bets etc. Sometimes have a bad red line earns you more profit

  • @ML-sj3gi

14:44 I feel that the pot sized flop bet is often a missed flop with AK or AQ. These pot sized bets are maybe better on low dry flops because it makes it hard to continue unless you have flopped a set, which only happens 12%. 3-bet pre, then when missing the flop, they bet pot C-bet. If they get 50% folds then it is very profitable, and few people float vs pot sized bets. As you said, you can overfold to these bets, so I think they are profitable. What do you think? Is it this or is it big over pairs and sets that are hoping to get it in?

Hmmm I would have called the 88 at @39:51. Seems like it would be an indifferent hand to call with in theory and in practice I can see many offsuit combos of QJo AJo and potentially AQ that would bluff, and not much value really once he only bets 1/3 OTT. On top of that, bluffcatching would be even better if he is trying to exploit a pool that checks back too weak OTF.

Hey ffallenaangel! It's normal to have losing sessions in poker, it's part of variance. No matter how good you are, if you play 500 hands in a session, you will end up losing in about 50% of your sessions. But if you are a strong player, what you win from winning sessions far compensates what you lose in losing sessions. Hope that clarifies, cheers my friend!

Personally, if I considered paying someone to teach me poker, I would first ask for evidence that the guy is a winning player over a super large sample (1 million+ played hands), and Saulo seems to be one of these despite the losing sessions he has uploaded so far.
