How to recycle Nespresso coffee pods
Two methods for recycling nespresso coffee pods, the Dualit Ecopress and the Podback pod recycling service, are demonstrated and discussed. The easy to use Dualit Ecopress separates the coffee grounds from the aluminium pod and allows you to compost the coffee. The Podback recycling service is a free scheme that allows you to return your pods to the manufacturer for recycling. Further details of the Podback service can be found here www.podback.org Podback is currently only available in the UK but nespresso have similar postal schemes in Ireland, the US, Australia and New Zealand. Details of the schemes can be found on the Nespresso website for each country.

Love your video - the info is really good, but due to the process in kerbside collection, those stacked pods will all come apart (because of so much jumbling & tumbling in MRFs) and then end up in landfill. Not sure if you know, but now there's a new innovative tool that will open them safely & quickly, and assist you to empty, rinse and crush, so then you simply fold the pods and put them into an empty aluminium can - it's clean aluminium ready for the MRFs to process effectively. The little tool is called rePodder (sadly Dualit Ecopress is not available outside the UK). But the benefit of this method via the kerbside bins, is a huge reduction in carbon footprint at the end of life of the capsules - it's a win-win for the people & planet!

Thanks Mandy, the rePodder sounds interesting, I will look into it.
Would like to track those recycling pod collections to see what they do with their product when returned.
