Hi I sent in my Mac to local apple repairs. The guy said it needed wiping as I had installed a program which had corrupted the pc. I asked if I had a back up I said yes I pay for iCloud storage. I now want to restore my files but not the program which created the problem. He said it was clean my Mac. Will It give me the option of what to restore. I don’t want to end up with the program that caused the problems Thanks

I just want my photos back. I didn't realize that deleting them off my phone deleted them off my computer... im a dummy. I thought they'd be safe on my computer and now there's no way to get them back.

Hi Daniel, Could you give me any advice and would this work for this ? I have an old iphone 4s and didn't use it for about 8 years but I then bought an ipad recently and it didn't sink my old iphone icloud data didn't even recognise my iphone on there, not only that there is the activation lock problem on that phone, is there anything that can be done please ? Loads of special historic photos and videos on there from holidays etc Not so interested in the phone but the data it is associated to.

How about if you delete a backup on iCloud can you still get it

@Daniel About Tech : I am currently in the process of restoring my iPhone XS Max from backup due to it running out of space while on iOS 12. Part of this restore includes a mandatory update to iOS 15.2. To my horror, I’m seeing that all of my previously-open Safari browser tabs have been lost. This has never happened to me before when updating from one iOS to another or upgrading from one iPhone to another. Is there any hope of recovering my old tabs? The restore is still not complete, so I’m hoping that the Safari tabs will be opened up later in the process, as my iCloud data continues to download to my phone. But honestly, I’m worried that they’re gone, since I’m well familiar with Apple’s habit of throwing hand grenades into tried and true procedures for no reason. Please let me know if you think that the tabs are actually going to be downloaded from iCloud before the restore completes, or if you think there’s a way to recover them. Thanks for any assistance that you can provide!

I deleted my icloud notes and now am unable to get them back

I deleted my pictures from iCloud by mistake. I followed your way and looked for pictures but did not show up on the restore window it said no file found. I deleted 15 minutes ago. I don't know what to do next. should I call iCloud ?

My video files in FILES app randomly and completely DISAPPEARED and were not in the recently deleted or restore files option. Were my files in the FILES app saved to the icloud? Were they automatically deleted by apple because I ran out of space? This is disgusting. How can anyone use a device that ruthlessly DELETES the files on your device, because you refused to purchase storage? Without warning. This is the issue I'm facing, there is no trace of my video files! What happened? How can I get them back?

*The above name is a guru* I mistakenly deleted all my photos and I also deleted them from recently deleted and they are not in my icloud too. But 247sec helped me recover them successfully in less than few minutes.

It really don’t work it’s really the same thing you can do on your phone with recently deleted files. Anything after 30days it’s permanently Deleted. It’s just your doing it on ur pc instead if your phone. I jus tryed so basically once’s your files delete it’s gone there kno way to get em idk put this doesn’t work he had me too but it’s just like goin to your recently deleted photos it want work I thought it was but it pops up and say no flies to restore

What happens when I delete an old apple id and it asked me to delete all contact and reminders, what do I do. go ahead, and then when I logged into iPhone, with a new apple id, will I be able to recover the cloud information of the old apple id? the problem is, ever since I stop service and reconnect my service again with a phone/internet provider-- it gave me "a new phone number" ---and I no longer can access "the old apple id" like I had before, even on the same iPhone....this is the why I needed to create a new apple id, now. but do I have to lose all my contact info when I sign into the phone? or must I go ahead and copy everything?

The website Dow not show how you are showing it. Setting app never comes up and there’s no way to add it

How do you add settings app to the iCloud if not there

Now, the iCloud settings seem different. It doesn't open the way you show here. I don't see the settings option as shown in this video. Settings tab doesn't take me to advanced options and then to restore files.

What about photos? iCloud deleted 22,000 of my photos and nothing is in the recently deleted file. Please help! I have tried everything. I have a backup on my computer but when I try to transfer the photos to my ipad it won’t let me do it because Apple converts all the files in the dcmi folder to iCloud folders and they need to be Apple files. I can’t add new folders eight. Ugh! Hate the stupid icloud. Never had this problem until I used the icloud. Thanks.
