just use vox and obs you can have the vocals split so when you are actually recording the vocals it plays the chain

When I was using USB, FlexASIO really came in clutch. You can set a custom buffer size but it still won't really compare to the low latency you get out of an audio interface like on a scarlett solo, I *HIGHLY* recommend upgrading to an XLR mic or if your mic already has both an XLR port and a USB port I promise you that you will NOT regret buying an audio interface. I bought a 4th gen Scarlett Solo not too long ago and not only is the latency insanely low but I got a pretty noticable difference in sound quality from the same mic since it has both an XLR and a USB port. Hope this helps, technicalities aside either way you can make great music no matter what you have :)
