Any ideas how us in the UK can record on our VHS players as I've tried these ways and doesn't seem to work

Nows my chance to make a real analog horror

If I already have an HDMI to Analog converter for my Roku player, to play on my analog tv do I still need another scaler? I'm assuming I do since I need to connect my laptop to my tv to then record Netflix to my VHS player. Right now I have no luck at all.

So most rca to hdmi converters already rescale your image. If it looks correct on your screen then you should be good to go! The converter I use in this video rescales my input to the correct format. If it looks off then I'd suggest getting something that can scale it or I'd recommend rescaling the video through a video editing software. 😃

Great video and helped me a lot. But when I connect everything the image on VCR starts moving constantly, do you have any advice? I'm using settopbox with USB, and I already changed resolution to 576i. 480i is way worse, it's moving fast as hell.

@@dusanbankovic3146 may be a tracking issue. Check out some other videos on you vcr model and see what you can do about the tracking stabilization.

Tried it, everything go as planned besides the actual recording, I press record and doesn’t record anything but lines and some part of the audio, I tried to record some KZread on it

Can you do these on a flat screen? I don’t have a small crt tv mines big

100% as long as your tv has AV RCA inputs you'll be good!

So I followed all these steps, used my ps5, everything worked except my picture was black and white only...no color.. you have any solutions ?

Look into what settings may be blocking this internally on your ps5 display settings. May be as simple as turning of sonys protection setting that disables recording through things like an elgato.

I'm going to put modern shows onto VHS just to cause confusion

​@@tapevaultstudiosI hooked it up just as you described, nothing on the screen flipped through L1, L2 and the rest of the channels. Nothing, I checked the converter box same one as the video describes (everything plugged in)

@@rx9171 So first go through the set up again to double check in/out routes. Then for safe measure make sure the converter is powered through usb. Like I said there are a ton of different VCR models so mess around with your device to see if that is the issue. If there is no signal from the media player you have plugged in I'd do some research on if that player has hmdi output blocking to prevent external capture. PS4’s and PS5’s have a setting that can prevent capture through external devices like that so that's something to keep in mind. Run some more tests and lmk what you find. :)

Vhs tapes don't stop playing at all like internet does in the future everything proven people are buying VCR players cleaning tapes vhs movies off eBay and Amazon now days everything proven people like myself will never get rid of my vhs tapes people like myself are fixing broken vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's plus I clean out mode switches in VCR players that starts playing again with out no problem's
