You cannot record the audio on the FaceTime on the phone. I have tried but it did not work. The audio works until I make the call then it goes silent. Any advise?

I read this somewhere: You will be able to record your FaceTime call along with sound up to the iOS version 13.3. Further versions have recently applied restrictions to record the audio for the FaceTime call. It’s a apple FaceTime security issue they addressed, which also now does not allow 3rd party apps to record the call. So make sure of your iPhone for its iOS 13.3 (or below) version before trying to go forward with the process. If anyone has ideas to record FaceTime with sound as well please advise.

You can use Mac OS High Sierra and ecamm Call Recorder. Automatically records every FaceTime call with audio at highest quality with options for two channel recording. Same for Skype. Call Recorder actually hooks to FaceTime which became impossible after High Sierra.

I have tried it on my iPad but it doesn’t record the audio of the other person please help find me a solution

I just saw a show on Netflix that used the cell phone and FaceTime to get a bully to back down. It was a brilliant use of it. One woman on a train was being harassed. Another woman took a picture, but the guy heard it and demanded she hand over her phone. Then a woman stood up holding her cell, saying she was recording live to FaceTime. Several others took her cue and did the same. They identified where they were, and invited the police to join them. What a GREAT idea! The police were waiting at the station and arrested the guy! Loved it! I immediately came on line to find out how to do it! BTW, the first woman was bluffing. She didn't know how to film directly to Facebook. It’s a skill we should all know!

iPhone version doesn’t work. Done this tons of times & it never picks up audio

IOS 13.3 and higher no longer allow you to capture audio on FaceTime calls due to privacy laws.

It’s not recording the sound. Is there something I’m missing

iPhone audio does not work for facetime. This information is outdated. Refer to buckeye's comment.

The method you mentioned using Iphone to record it does not capture the sound at all just the video.

@@WondershareDemoCreator I screen capture with audio frequently. iOS 15.5 does not allow screen capture with audio recording to continue with FaceTime. You can turn your microphone on first, but the audio will be automatically turned off when you switch to FaceTime. Try it.
