Not everyone in the West throws away things. I know a lot of people who prefer fixing rather than discarding. People have this idea that dismantling and repairing things is difficult

@Bryan a fine and very valid point. In the UK there are a few volunteer workshops appearing where people take items that would otherwise be scrap and get them repaired for a nominal fee. Sometimes free.

Very nice quality repair. Makes me wonder if you powdered some of that red plastic and used it instead of the Sodium bicarbonate would it make the repair lines less visible, or even color the Sodium bicarbonate.

I am amazed at and I truly admire this guys talent but I am also sickened to see people who are working so hard for so little reward. A nice used taillight might cost $20 in the US and this guy spent hours and hours - WITH AN ASSISTANT, to repair a broken one. Bravo!, and I'm so sorry life is so tough on you.

Тут, кмк, дело в том, что разборок как таковых там нет, или почти нет. Китай, на вскидку, долларов 40-50 будет новый, а тут за 20-25 отремонтировали на уровне "ещё походит".

4 years back when I went to get my cars tyres changed a young chap asked if I'd like the fogged headlight polished internally for ~$7, I didn't know the work & was skeptical but thought anything for that low price was worth it! I was genuinely surprised at the good job. No internal fogging/vapours to date!!! Very very underpaid job at that price in a city like Bangalore!

What a great job. It’s so wonderful to see a true tradesman, again. Just think of how he prevents waist? In a culture which has no respect for applied labour, yet is all about recycling, we have designated repair to the trash bucket, because of impatience, coupled with ridiculous labour costs. Sanity would be to return to repair over replace.

Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate. Baking powder is that mixed with an acid (cream of tartar) and cornstarch. They can't be used interchangeably in a recipe. I have no idea if they have different names in other countries but they are definitely separate products.

Impressive skill. In America, we'd simply just replace the cover because it only costs $15 for the cover, but the unskilled technician makes $22 per hour. In China, we'd replace the whole thing because the factory makes thousands of them every hour. No disrespect here. Circumstances dictate how things are done in the most economical way.

Can Amazing Skills Discover post a video on how they “sew” halves or thirds of car tires together over inner tubes in Indonesia? In the poor areas they make a useable tire out of say two that have one spot of the sidewall or tread area beyond hope. They chainsaw the tires and put good pieces together. Back in the eighties they used hacksaws powered by armstrong, no chainsaws used back then.

Impressive skill. In America, we'd simply just replace the cover because it only costs $15 for the cover, but the unskilled technician makes $22 per hour. In China, we'd replace the whole thing because the factory makes thousands of them every hour. No disrespect here. Circumstances dictate how things are done in the most economical way.

Can Amazing Skills Discover post a video on how they “sew” halves or thirds of car tires together over inner tubes in Indonesia? In the poor areas they make a useable tire out of say two that have one spot of the sidewall or tread area beyond hope. They chainsaw the tires and put good pieces together. Back in the eighties they used hacksaws powered by armstrong, no chainsaws used back then.

Молодец, но герметиком зря не проклеил, плюс цианакрилатный клей может повредить отражатель фонаря и лучше его не использовать.

После герметика его не разберешь, а цианокрилат отколол ножиком и все, им этот фонарь еще потом ремонтировать.
