How to Rebuild a Garage Part 1

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is a video log of my rebuilding the garage at the house I bought. Part 1. Just going over some general points, one day I'll do a new construction, probably a shed behind the garage and go from beginning to end properly.

I appreciate it, unfortunately it's full of junk so would be hard to get a decent video.. in the process of throwing most the stuff away since it's ruined anyways.. The entire garage though is really shoddy. Plywood in the roof is rotted through in a few spots, the walls are various materials, some slats, some ply, some osb, some particle board.. Lot of carpenter bees and birds have made it their home too. Not sure the frame is worth salvaging. Think I'd prefer a steel building but those are expensive too, need to win the lottery I think.

@@hbeezey What is the footprint of the garage? It does sound by description that it might just be worth replacing. You could dumpster the whole garage and rebuild it yourself. If you do it like it did, incrementally, it doesn't hit your wallet all at once and therefore it is easier to finance. I used the leftovers from my paycheck to buy materials and continue progress. This is a 22x22 foot garage and it cost less than $2000 in materials to build. It is actually very straight forward.
