The red flags on iPhone and Apple are mounting since years. iPhone is very defective and stress inducing. Samsung skips all the bullshit. College students and high-pace workers always have Dells, Samsungs, and Asian cars for this reason. Semi-minimal utilities that let me do stuff that actually matters and not type on a slow iPhone or take my Jeep to the shop every week.

I literally just did this! That's awesome, I didn't know an iPhone turns itself back on after a reboot; it felt immense. That goes to prove that: Power Down, Restart, Hard Restart, Siri's Restart Command, etc, are all different. This makes me want to go to Books on my iPhone and read the iPhone operation manual, which is free.

The only problem with your method is it doesn't restart the iPhone, it shuts it off. So there's that.

Ya, Iphone sux. Why can't they just have a damn REBOOT instead of turning it off. Android has a selection. You hold the power key, and you get power off, or reboot, and cancel. What you did was not a reboot but a power off and power on. So totally useless.

Real Answer: “Hey Siri, Restart iPhone.” You’ll notice your iPhone suddenly operates smoother and faster compared to manually restarting. To activate Siri manually, do one of the following: On an iPhone with Face ID: Press and hold the side button. On an iPhone with a Home button: Press and hold the Home button. With EarPods: Press and hold the center or call button.

Just ask siri to restart your phone, it will automatically reboot
