I am unable to book a driving test as my theory runs out in December and the closest booking is in February, what can I do to get a booking?

Here's the secret. Book a test anywhere in UK including Isle of White. Book it for any date and time. Get a cancallation app or 3 and set the cancallation app for all the dates, times and test centers that you are happy with. Let me know how it goes😁👍

Hi Joshua, I've failed my driving test the first time and was wondering if I need to book a re-test first in order for the app to auto book me in or can I just select the auto book feature which then will give me a re-test date?

I would imagine you would need to rebook with dvsa then on the app but you might as well click on the app and have ago first and see what it says if there's a problem it will soon tell you. Let me know will you Shai. I'll contact the owner and aks them aswell

Hi Joshua, I’ve downloaded the app and it’s been a couple of days and I still haven’t received a driving cancellation. I’ve booked a test and it’s in January 2022. My birthday is in a couple of months and was wondering if I could get a test date in the next couple of weeks? Thank you

Hey Leila don't worry just stick with it a cancallation will come up but they tend to come up short notice. People don't often cancel tests over a month away so if you start looking for a test upto a month away it will more likely find one for you

I registered for this concellation app for about 4 months and have not got a single notification of any available slot

Hi Josh, I had my driving test on 24th of March and I need a new date asap, I downloaded the app and selected the dates and the testing centre. How does it work with the autobook feature? Will I be charged automatically or will I get notified to choose a date from the dates selected and then proceed with the £62 payment? I tried to get an information from the app but I can’t find it. Don't trust anyone they are here to just make money tbh. I have tried this app and paid call (driving test now ) it's rubbish they will give you some cancellations but it's not the earliest one it will be the 3 to 5 months later one, which is not worth it. and I paid £17:99 for nothing and did not get any help their customer service is so bad I would not recommend that app or any other app. I found that test by looking at the gov website instead of paying you would rather check it by yourself

Hi sir I have a test on 18th November now it has been Canceled .and my theory test will expire on the 1 December do I need to do my theory test again or the will extend it many thanks

Hello Malyar, firstly I'm sorry to hear about your driving test being cancelled. Unbelievable bad luck with the theory certificate running out a day before lock down finishes. As a general rule DVSA have stated theory certificates will not be extended. Hey have said as your road safety knowledge and hazard perception will be out of date. Seems unreasonable to me but I understand the logic. Really sorry again. Hey Minion first of all congratulations on the theory pass!! 2nd no there isn't an exception to avoid certain days but you can change the day that it books free of charge should your instructor be unavailable. I hope that helps😁

@@JoshRamwell oh I see so would that not increase the wait of my original date for example my date is November 9th and if it was to auto book next month but I can't do it would it put my date later then my original date? Thanks

Not necessarily no. It would just give you the next available date which would only come up when someone else cancels there driving test. So it could be before or after.

Hi Blake best thing to do it have a go. It will ask for your booking reference so if it accepts that it should be fine. I have another video that explains how it works, just have a look through 😊

Hello yes you need a test booked for the app to work. You can however book a test at any test center and then set the app to find any cancalled time at different test centers that you choose. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Joshua. I had my test on Nov10 cancelled and they have given me another date for March 15th. I have been wondering whether to use an app like this as due to work commitments I have not got the time to keep logging on to dvsa everyday and waiting in ques etc (was bad enough trying to get my test for november). I had accepted it is what it is, and have currently got more lessons booked starting in mid Feb so I can refresh my knowledge ready for the new test date. I now wonder if I should have carried on with my lessons after lockdown in the hope In would have got a sooner test. My only concerns are if I book something sooner to then find my instructor will be unavailable. Will be difficult to contact him during the day as he will be teaching. Not sure how others are getting around this.

Hey Charlotte, really sorry to hear about the cancellation. On the flip side the 15th March is my birthday so bound to be a good day for a driving test😀 That being said if you would like one earlier then definitely get an app if you are busy with work etc. Now the way my students have got around the availability issue is i have told them they can call me any time after 8am (I like to sleep till then) if it is related to a driving test booking. If I am not available they know to text or message. Now if you book a driving test through an app providing it is more than 48 hours until the test you should be able to get a refund or move the test free of charge.(Same as DVSA) Essentially if you book a driving test through the app (providing there is more than 48 hours until the test) and then ask your instructor if they are free you should then be able to 1. Move it free of charge if they are not. 2. Go ahead with it. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions fire away.

@@JoshRamwell thanks for this. I may call my instructor and see what he thinks of this , and if he will be prepared to potentially rearrange my lessons and be available for a sooner test . It’s good to know you can cancel etc if a problem but my worry would then be that I’ve then lost my March test as well and could end up worse off . It’s all a bit of a gamble

@@charlottehart I really would not worry about this. As an example one of my students got an app around 1 month ago and has been sent approximately 8 different test dates for December. He has rejected each of them and all that happens is the app continues to update him with the next available dates. With the app I have been suggesting there is actually an auto book feature which just books you on the next available date that comes up as it becomes available. If you decide you cannot do that date you can just refuse it free of charge and wait for a more suitable date. As you said definitely worth having a chat with your driving instructor but I really would not worry about your March test when using an app because you will have many many tests to choose from before then. Hey Susan, you will need to have a test already booked or atleast on hold as the app asks for certain details including a booking reference

@@susanomari9204 sometimes when trying to book a driving test it says there are currently no dates available but we can place it on hold. If you click yes it places it on hold

Its says enables to search means

When I confirm the the test that is available on the app I click it and then it says failed to book earlier driving test idk why that happens I need help please

That's strange have you already got a test booked through dvsa because you need to in order to use the app. It may be because someone else has booked dit slightly b4 you and its just not updated. My sister in law kept struggling until she set it to automatically book her tests with the next available test dates. Try that

How long do you have to book when the app notifies you ? Or are we best to use the auto book option?

Hi booked my test on 21st July 22 and download this app for change my test centre but still there no updates it shows searching for test before 21st July in tolworth, could you please help me should I stick to take my lesson or not because at the moment i stopped my lesson and still waiting for date i am worried that this app is working or not please help me.

So the problem is your date my friend. You will only get a cancellation on short notice. For example you would have to have the app searching for tests in the next 2 weeks to have any hope of finding anything. Nobody cancels there test 3 months before there test date. They all cancel 1 or 2 weeks before there test date 🙌😉

So Amz I can't actually find any apps that rebook cancallations for adi tests however there should be a lot less demand for those tests so my advice would be to check every morning and night at 8am and 8pm and you shouldnt miss out on anything that becomes available.

Booked a test for August but I went back onto the search on the app and it's now changed it to a date I can't have! How to I pick and choose a date and time without the app doing it for me, sods law it will book one that I can't do! Please help!!
