Update for the train First there are two companies CFR and TFC. The tickets are not interchangeable. They can be bought from each company app, from 24Pay, each company has a vending machine white for CFR and red for TFC. There are offices both at the airport station and Northern Station. Starting from last December the tickets are not sold in the trains anymore

The bus is also a good and cheap option to reach the City, though slower than the train. Travelling by train you cannot see the City, while by bus you pass by the roads until the City Center.

Bus 783 has become Bus 100 according to the Bucharust Airport website

The price you quoted for the 783 bus,was that single or return? Also what happens if you arrive after midnight and the kiosk is closed? How do you buy a ticket then?

Price is for single, you can also pay online or with your bank card (contactless) on the bus
