@@frenzobloxroblox1003 you're researching them ofcourse you need multiple it's not just training this time around. also a lot of points can be gained by just switching your party members around whenever you reach lvl 10 research on them & they can no longer evolve. and for the killing you always get "do it with x type of move" which basically means kill them with type effectiveness which makes it even easier to grind those ones. even captures aren't that tedious just sneak throw ball move to the next and hope the catch worked

​@@DeeJaKinnZ420When I start a new game I like to do as much research as possible before I cross the bridge. Even saving 50 berries to feed Snorlax, though it doesn't count until you catch it. I've gone from no rank to 6. Just about catch anything. Also going from rank 9 to 10 rakes as much xp as rank 0 to 9.

Up arrows next to an objective nabs you double score; most pokemon have an attack and strong/agility move that gives you double points, use those to research 10 a pokemon in 3 attacks since most pokemon begin at level 2 after you catch you them.

Getting that tenth start is a grinnddd

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the storyline of this game, or just the game in general. But, ranking up takes a lot of time for a lot of us as it seems, and it stops us for a few hours or so from actually experiencing the game. I have nothing wrong with them trying something new, but, I’m gonna hope this isn’t included in some sort of way in future games. Really puts Legends Arceus at a trudging pace.

What I found to be helpful too is to save before you report to the professor and figure out how much more you need to be left you see a huge difference in new species found rather than tasks completed. But thank you!! I just got the game on Thursday and have 28 hours on it. It's Saturday. Only on the 10th main mission and already have level 63-71 Alpha Pokemon just trying to get to six stars and then continue on the game!

@Rand Redding what I found to be helpful is to try finding as many Pokemon in each region as you can. Don't fight the alphas until level 40-50 maybe. Save before you fight one and catch it off guard so you can get a free hit(either stun or put it to sleep) and once you catch one alpha keep at it.

Bruh, I have literally completed the Pokédex to the point where every single pokemon is research level 10 and I am STILL not level 10. Why do they make it such a high number of points??

You people are built different. I hate grinding, I’m about to beat the game I’m struggling to get to rank 6. XD I love the game, but I do not like the research tasks, I wish they didnt exist, and you ranked up by quelling the lords or something. I’ll never get to enjoy lvl 100 pokemon probably getting to rank 7 is too much a slog IMO.

I think the shift in emphasis off of what party you use and more onto the Pokedex completion is different and hard to adjust to, but if you think about it, every main series Pokémon game bar Alola has been near identical in terms of your main prerogative. This is different in a cool way imo!

Hmm I think only trade. I made my pokemon level 30 with the no rank rating and they still listened. Floroa whatever area is op for grinding early levels with fire pokemon. Just fight the beautifly and venmmoth looking bugs. They give crazy exp

Trade only I believe. You also can't catch wild Pokémon of a higher level than your star level cap.

Not exiting at all. Rn im at end game against this giratina and my pokemon are overlevled and still get one shot despite it being only effective

I've been stuck at rank 9 for the longest and didn't even think that tasks contribute to extra points. I was just going on catching sprees and spamming "A" through Laventon's dialog and reports

So there’s no way around it? Rarer Pokémon don’t give more points? It’s just do the grind?

I need this information bc I don’t have time to spend hours grinding

I’m on second map, and have thousands of research points and purposely staying at only fourth star member. Farming for grits and keeping only jolly and timid nature pokemon. Release pokemon for grits.

I don't believe so. Although I don't think being level 10 research level on all of the Pokemon gets you to rank 10. I've heard that you have to do extra tasks on top of these to achieve it, but I don't know how many exactly!

Some websites have said to catch a bunch (20+) of pokemon increases the rate but personally I've been leaving the game idling with volume up and they seem to spawn at an ok rate

You need to wait minimum 20 minutes and maximum 45 minutes but if you have a big tempest it reset the time for the std to spawn, if you sleep it’ll reset the counter and the most evident, if you return to jubilife or another zone it will reset the time to so it’s kinda hard to get these std

Legends Arceus has been my least favorite Pokémon game thus far. The world is way too empty to be an RPG. Gamefreak really needs to take notes from other RPG developers because the quest rewards are total dog water and there’s like no way to make a decent amount of money to buy items without exploiting or doing tedious hours of farming. Pokémon was fun for me because I could get off work and catch pokemon, explore and find legendaries. Now catching Pokémon is annoying, battling is terrible via the new agile/strong system, I just hate it. Also it feels like the Pokémon hit way too fucking hard. Even effective moves one shot at an even level battle and super effective moves are just overkill. What’s the point of agile and strong if you don’t ever need to use it? Can’t wait for Scarlet and Violet. Literally going to catch Arceus, transfer him and I’ll never touch Legends Arceus again lol.

Fun fack: your not in full screen mode

This is undoubtedly the worst part of this game. How do you go from catching and evolving one Pokemon through it's evolutions... to a laundry list of 5 to 10 boring mediocre tasks for each evolution of each Pokemon. One to three tasks would have been okay but this is just crap filler. The evolutions even have the same tasks as the previous evolution. Both Shinx and Luxio each require seeing it use Bite 25 times. Super BS.

A lot of people say It’s boring and it’s unnecessary. First off just remember that you don’t have to Try to do all this and get Arceus right away, my advice is that if you are bored play something else or stop playing and eventually you will feel the need to play this game again. I got Arceus but I’m not on 10 Star yet and it takes time BUUUUUUUT I’m taking my time and that’s important. Remember to Take breaks and again you will have that energy and desire to complete the dex or get to the final rank. If you can’t be patient and take your time then I’m afraid to say that you need a life. 😕

When you stop playing the game because of a system, hoping that maybe you’ll feel the need to come back, thats a bad system. The game is good, but this research thing was a bad idea, it’s plain and simple. Maybe you don’t need to do it to get arceus, but you need to do it to use the good pokemons that you catch at higher levels, and thats what is annoying about it. It’s not about lack of patience its about doing something repetitive and boring for progression. It’s clearly a bad system, that hopefully doesn’t repeat itself

Overrated game, the Research Tasks mechanic as the equivalent of gym medals is too boring. It's not worth buying. I tried it on the emulator and abandoned it, I haven't touched it since March 9

Both are correct. It was "Arseeus" but they officially changed it to "arkeeus" not too long ago.
