How to Quit Benzos | Effective Benzo Taper Schedule | Dr. B

How to quit Benzos? This is a topic that is very near and dear to me. I'll also discuss my recommended Benzo taper schedule. I want to reframe the question though because when asking that question, that sort of assumes that when someone is on Benzos you need to quit them.

I witnessed a miracle by watching this video. There is actually a doctor who is worthy of the degrees that are hanging behind him. I would do anything to have you as my doctor.

Words can't even describe the absolute torture of benzodiazepine withdrawal. No words.

It's almost hard to listen to this because I know of no doctors that would help like this. I just wish there were more doctors like this.

It’s been 4 days without taking Klonopin and I’m feeling okay. I went from taking 1mg twice a day to 1mg once a day. Lately I’ve been taking it only if I really really need it. I’m hoping I can keep this streak going.

This is an excellent doctor. My taper took 5 years because of old age and health problems. My doctor was patient but knew nothing about tapering. Best thing I learned was to taper at your own pace, only what you can tolerate, but keep going. Half a tablet is a huge reduction.

I feel this guy understands addiction well. The whole idea of empowering the patient to control their own taper is brilliant.

How refreshing to hear a sane and reasonable attitude, instead of the over-the-top fear mongering. Thank you, Doc! Very helpful

Hi Doctor. First of all, thank you for this video, I think you are doing a GREAT favor to society explaining this the way you did it. I need help, and after trying so many different doctors you're the first one I found who REALLY understands (seems at least) how to properly manage this issue. Is the website on your description a direct contact with you? If not, please let me know if there's a way to professionally contact. Thank you again!

I think a lot of doctors let addicts suffer because they honestly don't like them. This man has real compassion, without enabling people to continue in their destructive addictions. Bless this doctor.

Thank you for explaining this about Xanax. I started taking few weeks after my wife passed away due to anxiety, can’t sleep and burning throughout my body. I’m on the low dose once daily for 6-7 months and now cutting it by 1/2 and still doing well. Again thank you. I’ve always tried natural things but in this case I need professional help. I also pray to God before I take and ask him for the med to only do what it was meant to do. Great information!
