How to Quad Load Your Shotgun Ep 1514

In this week's episode we have a special guest, Minnesota 3 Gun Shooter Nathan Payne. Nathan is one of Minnesota's best 3 gun competitive shooters and is especially known for his speed and proficiency in quad loading the shotgun. His quad loads are some of the fastest times in the game leading him to stage wins and high finishes at national matches around the country. Nathan goes over with us how he quad loads, breaking down his steps and of course demonstrating just how fast he is. If you are into 3 gun or tactical shotgun, don't miss this video.

i use to think video games had unrealistic reloading times single loading the tubes, but this is sooo much faster and actually makes me want to get a belt like his. good job guys

I would agree with that he really is, but his shotgun and belt help a lot. but i am like the first guy in the beginning of the video when it comes to my quad loading (dropping shells and going slow) you can't really quad-load practically or even practice fast without that awesome belt of his. He is indeed a beast and fully equip.

I have a Mossberg 930JMPro What is the best way to recover when you fumble and you don’t get the shell to lock and it slips under the loading gate. Now you have a shell under the gate but not in the chamber. When you rack it, the loading gate goes lower and is very difficult to find the tube with the next set of shells. Or is it better to fire what you loaded and reload from scratch

hey gotta ask how does the SAFARILAND Model 086 Double - 8 Shotgun Shell Holder compare to the 24S4 SPORT SERIES - 24up Shell Holder, Grab 4? the model 86 looks like what you are using and also looks like it may hold shells more securely but the sport has a drop down the leg model instead of across the belt just looking for an opinion those things are pricey.

How bout left handed tips? Would strong (left hand) rotate out to right to expose loading gate for visual sight work? ( load w right hand)

left handed tips are to learn how to shoot right. Seriously though, weak hand quad reloading is a thing, you twist the gun upside down clockwise and then load with the off hand, keeping your trigger hand on the same grip, pinning the stock between your ribs and arm

Seems like quad loading is reliant on having a specific style of shell caddy/holder. Which is certainly suitable for competition but is it practical to do this without that equipment already being worn and ready like in a self defense situation?

Is the loading port of his shotgun modified? And what brand of shotgun shell caddy is he wearing?

Don't know much about shotguns. When the tube is extended that long.. do the pellets exiting the barrel never hit it? I guess the pellets don't start to spread until farther out?
