@@DC-zg8jk That's cool to hear, how did you know? They way he breaks down the mechanics of putting, is just awesome. His ability to explain it and translate how it should feel really made the difference. The first time I tried it on the course, the disc just flw completely different than it ever has for me. Low laser that felt too low out of the hand that just hit dead center from @ 35 feet. I normally have to lob them from that distance.

I've consumed a ton of instructional disc golf content since picking up the sport in the past year, and these were all incredibly novel points I hadn't seen before, and you explained and demonstrated each of them extremely well. I look forward to continuing to learn from you as well as watch you have a tremendous amount of success on the course this season!

wow. never even thought of any of this. i’ve been so focused on trying to flick my wrist as hard as possible i even thought about speeding down on putters. i also felt a really weird fluidity with putting from my side instead of straight down my body. this was the best video i’ve ever seen cover any sort of putting. thank you so much

@ClarkPotter Stokely: 1. admits on camera to teaching the wrong putting technique for years. 2. Sidearm, approaches target with square shoulders. That is awful form. No other pro does this. 3. Sidearm, encourages strange ritualistic neurotic habits & arm swings before throw. 4. Sidearm, claims elbow should only EVER be tight to body on hyzer throw only. Reality is it s/b for a straight shot as well. He really embellishes to newbs that ur elbow should rarely ever be tight to the body. What he shud say is elbow shud be away from body on reach back & follow thru and anny. 5. Encourages never to do field work. Only practice by playing rounds. Ridiculous. 6. Teaches u shud not throw it hard. States smooth form will get you distance. Well no shit it will. Arm speed on top of smooth release will yield max results. 7. Teaches u shud throw every disc in ur bag FH & BH. Reality is most pros have specific moulds for FH. My beef with this tip is he doesnt explain to newbs FHers like OS discs to prevent turnover. Turnover = speed > spin + stability. 8. Claims 600' throw in a vid where it was clearly no more than 350. 9. Lives off a distance record he set in 100 mph winds in the 90s. 10. Claims you should never have elbow pain from throwing forehand if you have the correct form. That is complete nonsense. Your putting max pressure in tiny ligaments you are going to have pain over time. 11. Believes Paige Pierce's play hasn't downgraded, just that all the competition has gotten better and she's stayed the same. Mind blowing takeaway.

Superb video, I got distracted part way through and putted for an hour or so the two things I was focused on was curling my fingers and then extending which seemed to give my releases a lot more snap and especially a lot more consistency. I also started putting to the side, bringing the disc almost down to my left knee, allowing me to keep my elbow inside which already seems so much more consistent. Already my put is feeling better, thanks!!!
