I just used the dentek on a temporary crown that was set one week ago. The temporary is thinner than any I have ever had, a piece cracked off of the corner while eating a fairly soggy bowl of special k. Crown came off when I reached in & touched it. It’s paper thin, I did not dare try to scrap out what cement was in there....I would have ended up with a dozen pieces! So the dentek went in the cleaned temporary on top of freshly brushed teeth. I’m supposed to get my permanent crown in FOUR WEEKS!!!!!!

Hi Dr , I just had zirconia implant. In 5 more months, i will have zirconia abutment and crown by a holistic dentist. She will use carbon fiber screw to screw the abutment to the implant. Then she will use cement to cement the new crown to the abutment. She said the cement is biodegradable. What is the name of the cement that is safe, that does not have chemicals and does mot harm my health? Do you mind to give me the name of the cement that is natural? Is Recapit natural? Thank you.

I have such a bad luck, had a rootcanal done in tooth #8 (top center of the mouth) fine I got a crown 5 years ago. 2 days ago I tought the crown fell off, what really happened was the rootcanal tooth broke off... Had my dentist cement back the tooth temporally until I get with a specialist for more "surgical" advice or something like that. Why it couldn't have been a tooth on the back of the mouth man... My point is, I'll get a kit of this stuff to fix it if the cement decides to give up...

From my experience, dentists and endodontists are terrible at placing and or recapping temporary crowns. Most patients have to wait around 2 weeks until they get their permanent placed and the crap they have to go through in those 2 weeks is ridiculous. Pain, discomfort and annoyance. Its been 3 days and mine fell out 3 times now. And the bite is off every time. Guess i will never return to this dentist or endo again.

If the tooth is turning dark, it’s accumulating a lot of bacteria. You will not feel pain in it because if it’s a root canal, it doesn’t have any nerves. second post above, said that Recapit worked much better. "Thank you so much for this! I had a root canal 10 days ago and the temporary crown put on 2 days ago, which fell off the 2nd day. I bought the Dentek with the spatula and it was awful! Both for application and effectiveness. I used a small amount of the putty-like substance as directed and the temporary crown didn't stay for 12 hours. After seeing this video and seeing you use the squeeze tube, I ran out to the drug store to get that instead and boy was it so much easier with the more liquid substance." But did not say how long it lasted. \

Pramod Bridge is just a larger crown and it is the same procedure as told in video. If you are around a place where you have a friendly dentist they can recement it better but doing on own require a high quality cement + bonding material like a glue. I found one on Amazon Prevest Denpro Micron i tried but it requires extreme caution in mixing; as a few popular ones usually very low cost are worthless.

Do NOT use that Dentek junk @1:00 to reattach your crown. It is way too stiff ( doesn't flow ). Instructions say roll a small ball and place in crown. What is the correct definition of small??? I put in too much assuming it would push out when crown was pressed on. It did not... so my crown sat way too high. I did not recognize the danger in that and promptly shattered that beautiful crown at my first meal. That is an EXPENSIVE mistake. What she actually uses in this video would probably have worked fine, but Walmart didn't have that on the shelf... noooo..... only Dentek. I repeat...do NOT use Dentek to reseat a crown.

This first brand of cement sucks. There is barely anything in the little tube and it works for about 2 hours before the tooth falls off again. Then there is nothing left in the tube.

@@Drsandamoldovan None, unfortunately. There are a limited number of brands and its next to impossible to obtain the cements dentists have access to.

You can, but it won't last as long (like a few days then you'll need to do it again).
