I'm a year late! My kitty has become aggressive and started attacking me. I need to get her to the vet, but getting her in the carrier has been impossible! I had cancel the vet appointment 😟

You wouldn’t necessarily put a feral cat into a carrier unless you were doing tnr.

Our girl cat hated us for a few days after we put them in the (double) carrier to take them to the vet. The boy was fine the whole time, but our girl was... Oof! *ETA:* The boy had also been in a carrier before for an emergency vet visit, but even that first time he was just chill.

I have a male cat about 2 years old that lives outside and everything is fine with feeding him and shelter and I love cats so I constantly keep an eye on him and his siblings. My problem is I can't get him into a carrier because he is just too smart and doesn't want to get in. A friend of mine helped me twice to try to get him in a carrier and as soon as we try to put him in he freaks out and starts twisting and scratching and is impossible to handle.I want to take him to a vet and don't know what to do. Like I said before he is extra smart and can't be fooled.I saw the blanket method but I don't even think that will work.

I literally wear a hazmat suit. Once I had on everything but a helmet and of course my cat ended up on my head scratching around in my hair.

That second demo for “bad” cat does not work for crazed Tasmanian devil cat (who badly bit my hand and scratched the hell out of my arm. Had to go on antibiotics, swelled up like a balloon, so won’t be trying that method again. (Srangely enough my cat, who was a stray, is very sweet and affectionate otherwise, BUT he needs to be neutered so next try will be with a Havaheart trap.)

My cat was able to wiggle out of the scruff he is smart strong and fast I’m going to try the towel

That cat was on Prozac he didn’t put up a fight

first vet visit is in 2 days. my cat HATES when i pick her up and will run away when i try to. needless to say i’m VERY nervous

Don't grab the cat by the scruff of the neck. It is not a tiny kitten being picked up by the mother. Not only can it injure the cat but also scares them.

So you need to take your cat to the vet and know it doesn't like carriers. All these how tos saying put your carrier out for weeks so the cat is comfortable around it. My cat is sick and needs to go now not next month! lol
