been giving my dog some bologna in addition to adding more food to his bowl and walking him more. hes much more energetic and hes gotten a tad more fat, also you can make gravy and pour it on dry feed, adds a lot of calories, tastes good for the dog, also nutritious.

We adopted a puppy.he is so slim.looks like they didnt fed him well

I broke out my neighbors dog because he was extremley thing, you could see his ribs, spine and even his butt bone, i have fed him to the point where he is a happy weight

I just adopted a german shepherd from a shelter. She's being fixed right now I won't have her at home for another few days. I could clearly see her ribs and when I touched her I could feel her spine. The shelter told us that she was so stressed that she had a hard time eating. She ways 48 pounds right now. She's also not fully grown yet. But she's still big. So I want to help her in every way that I can.

@@jdjshshshsh1527 have now been feeding with science diet dry kibble and to that I mix this sausage looking thing they sell at petco. It bison and beef with spinach..beans...and blueberries I believe. I'm it home right now but ill put the name once I return

@@jdjshshshsh1527 the name of the sausage looking thing is vital brand dog food, slice and serve complete meal. It was a slow rise in weight for her because her stomach is so sensitive and she still refuses to eat food half the time. Took about 3 weeks to really see the difference once I found this combination of food. But its been about 5 months of trying and failing.

@@bnose3543 He was happy ever since a month after we got him. He died 3 months ago, turns out he was older than he looked, but he was slept in happy and calm. He was spoiled with love until he died, and didn't feel any pain :)

I have gone through every single brand at petsmart even went to a premium dog food store and nothing I cooked beef and chicken for a month and she stopped eating it I have a 4 year old husky that weighs 48 pounds I don't know what to do anymore

I used to have a dog but she got kidnapped now I got her sister and she is supposed to be 6m but she looks like she is younger and really bad bc they did not feed her good and like I’m trying to get her back together

I've tried dry to wet to human grade food. It's been months since I've tried trying to fatten my dog but to no avail. Losing hope. The only consolation that she still eats although only small amount. I just continue with her vitamins and milk.

Hey! I think I might have an answer. My puppy is a parvovirus and amoeba survivor. She lost a ton of weight and that broke my heart. What I recommend is giving her liver (beef of chicken) which have a lost of protein, boil it and add nothing, no salt, pepper. Nothing. Another alternative is rice with boiled chicken (again, with nothing). Also give him homemade treats made of unsalted peanut butter and fruits such as apples and berries, that have a lot of benefits to a dog's health. Lastly, you can buy a multivitamin for him, and give him 1mm a day, just like I do with my puppy. Hope this helps!! Sending love your way

@@AiraRukawa I'd recommend you avoid pork, because of the new disease found in pork. Also, my vet advised me not to give puppies a big amount of pork liver because it's too strong for a puppy's stomach long term. Also, no raw food (if you're planning to do it) until puppy reaches the majority of his age (10-12 months)

@@Sushibites160 im not a fan of raw food so no worries about thay. My dog is already 6 yrs old. Currently she's eating cooked meats and mix with 1 tbps of rice. She doesn't want to eat dog food (wet and dry). Sometimes i hand feed her so that she can eat.

My brother goes to work in a different location i mean very very far away and he said i'm responsible for the dog now in first few month's the dog is still eating like normal after a few months the dog don't eat no more i tried feeding him meats with rice i always crush the meat so it's easy to swallow but the thing is he only eats small portions of it until he became very thin. I tried feeding him again with dog food, dogfoods etc. and still dont eat. My neighbors saw the dog very thin and suspecting me that i dont feed her and clean her dog plate and water plate. They don't know a fucking thing. I cant check her up in the vet cos its closed due to corona. What can i feed her ? What am i supposed to do ? She's very thin and weak. I'm worried she might die. I need some help :(
