lol, I always tried to fold my tissue paper and make it perfect too- aannndd it didn't look perfect. It was ugly, lol. But no longer! Right before I headed out the door, I needed to put my baby shower gift together and found your video. Now my gift looks great!! And it's easier than I thought! Thanks so much for the help. :)

Yeah, like Irmin, I'm a single guy and every time I've put tissue in a gift bag it looks like two badgers had to fight their way out of it. Today I'm bagging a couple gifts for my girlfriend and I didnt want them to look like I tried to wash a cat in the bags after I put tissue in. Thanks for this video. It seems like such a simple thing, but you have no idea. (or maybe you do, hence the video) ;)

good tutorial; this will streamline my tissueing. One tip I use, I alwas wrap the gift loosely with a piece of tissue, so if they shift in anyway it is still coverens.

Does anybody else have problems with the tissue popping out the top of the bag?
@EmGutzy
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Lainey, yes that has happened to me as well. I try to make sure the tissue is long enough to be tucked in far enough so it won't pop out. You can also try to place pieces between your gift item so it will push against the tissue to hold it in place. Sometimes if there is too much tissue it wants to lift as well. Hope that helps! :)

"Um" is SO annoying!
@glittercatstudios10 жыл бұрын
Just a *tiny* constructive criticism: don't say "um" so much. It's distracting from a very informative video. I work in radio and TV, and had trouble with that when I first started out because I was nervous. Maybe if you script a rough outline of what you want to say in your introduction, that will help, because as you went along and got to the part where you were actually wrapping the gift, you didn't say it as much. I hope I didn't offend! (And for the record, I watched a few on this topic before I got to yours, and yours was the more informative by far!) :)

Carla René , no worries at all. I actually made fun of myself on a couple of my other videos because I said "um" so much. At the time I didn't realize I was doing it, until I watched the video but I had already put everything away so didn't reshoot. I really have to shake the nervousness of doing vids. Some people weren't as nice as you, but I understand the need to have improve. That's partly why I haven't done any lately. Lol. But thank you, next time I consider recording another video, I will definitely use your scripting recommendation.

Matt Lorenzo I'm so relieved my comment was taken in the spirit it was intended. Scripting an opening is a great way to begin, and it's actually the preferred first step used by directors for improvisation (I studied with Second City). I've done professional stand-up comedy now for 20-years, and we might sound like we're doing everything off the cuff, but every single word has to be scripted and memorised thoroughly, or we get into the "um", "uh", and "der" wonderland, and since comedy is based on timing, that's the first thing that will kill it. Yes, definitely write and memorise an opening (or whatever part of your video presentation that seems to give you more problems than the rest). Sometimes I will just memorise an outline. As long as I remember which part should come next, it keeps my improvised speech on a tight schedule, which keeps me looking confident, which gives my audience surety that I know what I'm doing and they can trust me. Once again, your bags were beautiful and your video much more informative than the previous ones I saw. Keep at it, and good-luck!
