You are awesome and this saved me a bunch of time on two Audis. Other folks go as far as disconnecting a million other things! That is insane and your method is flawless. Again, many thanks!

Thanks for this video! I followed your instructions over the weekend when replacing the alternator on my 09 A5 3.2. Your instructions were spot on!

And Bob's your uncle. Now comes the hard part - anything to do with the engine. Great vid, really helpful, just noting what I can expect to run into servicing my own Audi should I buy one. I mean, if you're all tooled up to do the engine and tranny service, maybe you could keep one of these running into the 300k miles....

Obviously Filipino as he said "This one" a thousand times. Be mindful of taking disconnecting the collision/airbag sensor and then turning the ignition....Big ecu faults if you forget to connect them before*** Good vid

I like the advice to remove the bonnet catch. Closing the bonnet would be something stupid that I'd do.

Is there going to be much of a difference on an A5 8T 2007 Coupe?

excellent tutorial,would this have to be done in order to replace the alternator on the 3.0 tdi as well?

You can replace the alternator without doing this. Don't you have easier access to alternator from down side on v6?
@t.t7225

@@TPaolozzi you can work around those. With suitable extensions and jointed tools. I don't think that this service position is worth it in the case of an alternator.

It’s easier that way and you protect your headlights from breaking , I’ve done it before that way

I don't see how you would not remove them. They have to come off.

The headlight bracket attaches to the outer point on the fender and the other end attaches to the core support. You quite literally do have to take them off.

A valid reason not to buy an Audi.
