    I have dogs and stay away from most dog owners, so many of them are clueless idiots who don't train them and let them run riot. If that woman has kids you can guarantee they are just as ill mannered and out of control as the dogs. Dogs (and children) should be under control at all times. The reason I don't go to busy marks (or take my dogs to places where there are lots of people/dogs) is because of people like that and because I would blow my fuse in a millisecond right now....we go fishing to relax not deal with idiots. Anyway mate at least you got one...North coast of ANgelsey hasn't been great for lure fishing and the mackerel seemed to have buggered off from the east coast in the last few days or week. I'll be glad tomorrow when that high pressure system moves off and hope to get on the case. Thanks for the video :)

    Thank you for taking the time to comment mate much appreciated, i agree mate it wasn't the dogs fault what it did, it was the owner, she didnt care less what dog was doing 😡 Dog could have easily stepped onto the mackerel feathers then it would have been a different story haha glad it didnt tho. I guess Mackerel fishing should be back to normal from tomorrow since the weather cools down a bit. Thanks for watching 👍

Phone was smashed loads of gear lost. The lady couldn't give a monkeys she didn't even apologise and just said it's 1 them things. I was so angry 😡. But that's people for ya. Hi Hakan, a while back you found a Bass at Talacre with bite marks, and you found this other Bass slightly chewed at Leasowe, at Leasowe you're about 6 miles from Hilbre Island, Talacre 4 mile. There is a small seal colony on Hilbre that just love chasing fish. It may sound strange but on some nights, they'll even cruise just off the prom at New Brighton. Believe it not, these little sods actually get as far as Manchester. By the way they are more active from dusk til dawn, when I spotted them off the prom, I knew I was in for a tough night.

    Hi Hokan, Great video, I really enjoyed the filming, just one question as I'm new to beach casting. I see you were using a 6oz weight with 30lb mono rig, I thought to be safe you had to use a 10lb line to every oz of lead or am I wrong? Thank you for your reply in advance. Derek

  • @Masterfisherman

    @Masterfisherman

    Ай бұрын

    Thanks for watching Derek, it's the main line that takes most of the strain when casting so don't worry about going light on rigs. I mainly use 30 or 40lb line when making rigs and never snapped onces yet. So they say every 1 oz = 10lb casting weight, so if ur casting 6oz lead u ll need 60lb line/ shockleader. I fish 50lb straight through braid and never snapped yet. Hope this makes sense to you. Tight lines 👍🎣

    @@Masterfisherman Thanks. I noticed they not as tough as black lug. Even using some only couple hours after being pumped they seemed to go a bit flaccid. I guess the hot weather doesn't help. Best to use fresh I guess. I've read that they can be kept like black in newspaper? Yes your video has been massively useful! I'd practically given up on pumping black lug and people said you can't pump blowlug and then watched your video......dead easy and I was getting them virtually every pump! They more common than blacks and can be pumped on smaller tides, so given me much more freedom. I was ready to pack in seafishing because I couldn't get worms and didn't want to pay and rely on shops, so massive thank. See you on the beaches of North Wales some day.

    I love dogs but think it should be law that all dogs in UK are on a lead when in a public area. They can still run around on those very long retractable leads. I'm sick and tired of idiotic dog owners in the UK who can't control their dog. Not only is a nuisance to other people, but can put the dog at risk ( they could run into a road ) or they could attack and even kill other small dogs etc If you cant train your dog then DO NOT let them off a lead. Simple. I'm assuming the dog was off the lead? If it was still on the lead and she just let it piss on your tackle then that's even worse. I would have told her where to go if she had answered like that.......
