FANTASTIC VIDEO - Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to see how these frames work, and you literally answered every question I had - it's like you read my mind. :) Thank you!

To Kat Andrews, I wanted to thank you for your most helpful video on how to put a Flow Frame back together, i honestly don't think I could have done it without your most helpful, step by step instructional video. I recently had a brand new genuine Flow Frame literally come completely apart in my hands while I was using the Flow Key to properly align the parts (cells) in the frame. By following your instructions on your video, it went back together without any issues. It was very educational to see up close how fantastic the design is and how well it all works together. All I can say is, I think it is nothing short of Genius! I noticed that all the rest of the frames had only one twist on the top and bottom wires. On the one I put back together I put 3 twists on the bottom and 4 on the top wire, it now still moves perfectly opening and closing the frame cells and being much more tight. I'll probably tighten the other Frame as well. Thanks so much again, Sincerely, Chuck Rau, The Honig Trail Apiary and I'm also one of Flow's U.S. Ambassadors.

Finally, we couldnt figure out how to use the key to crack open an establishe frame. It was too hard to turn the key and so didnt want to break it, i cracked an empty frame like you showed firstly then figured it out. I then whent and insertrd key to twist the front bit like 2" then a bit further then all the way and success. 🍯!!!

The first time I used methylates spirits/denatured alcohol. I made this video on how to do that. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fZmMsctyfsy8cco.html The next time I used an ultrasonic cleaner. Check my channel for that video.

THANK YOU KAT!!! This is very helpful as it shows that these frame can last a long time if we tend to them every 4 years or so. Hey, you did not show how you cleaned them? What did you use to scrub them with? And if I'm correct, you can't use boiling water correct? Nor expose them for long times in direct sunlight. Thanks again. Please share you cleaning tips.

Thanks Brad, appreciate you kind words. I didn’t show how to clean the frames as I have already made two videos on how to do that. Just type How to clean a flow frame into the youtube search bar and my video will be the first that pops up. My second video will be about your fifth option. If you can’t be bothered searching, here it is here… kzread.info/dash/bejne/fZmMsctyfsy8cco.html

Nope, they are plastic. The bees add wax to them so they can store the honey, but the base of the frames are plastic.
