You did an amazing presentation. I remember watching this last year and made sure I came back again for a refresher! This is my 2nd year growing clematis, and just love them! You have the most beautiful shade flower tho, thank you.

Great video! I am growing my first clematis in Germany. My last was in Australia and I just winged it with that one, but here it really changes with the seasons and I want to do it right! Thank you!

Sounds very good. My daughter's clematis viticella is currently still in bloom here in Melbourne Australia (early summer) and I will cut it back as suggested and shown when it finishes up, then fertilise and see if we can get another flowering. Thanks for this video. :)

I prune this type after winter. And the Montana type after blooming in spring. And with pruning i mean cutting it down to 20 cm and remove everything. Just before spring i start watering and feeding. When starts to grow i stop feeding and continiue watering. I have large plastic rings around the base that holds the water. And burried a large plastic bottle upside down that i can fill. This way i can give it 20L of water without a lot of waiting. They grow up to 5 or 8 meter per year depending on type.

Could you tell me if I can use the same method to get more blooms for all three groups of clematis (flowers on the old, new or old and new wood)? Thank you.

I ordered a Jackamantti on line that I thought would come in a pot. Instead I got just the root in a bag with no planting instructions! Can anyone tell me how deep, which end up, etc to plant this and will it bloom this summer? I'm in Maryland, zone 6b. Thanks!

Oh I feed my clematis? It now needs to be trimmed really badly..hanging in a big clump. Afraid to clip . It’s 20 yrs old we acquired when purchasing home. It bloomed beautifully this year, as I did not touch it, mostly because I’m afraid to .. 🥰 I will try slow..

When do you prune? My plant is like fours years old it gives only one flower every year. In fall just before winter starts it kinds of dry out so I cut it all the way down. Is that what I am doing wrong. I see in my neighborhood their plants is full of flowers.

It's clematis with the stress on the first syllable. In greek it is spelled κληματίς with the stress on the last syllable which is the correct pronunciation as the word clematis is greek.
