How do people sit in a meeting at EA and agree that the traditional puck control should be removed and replaced by this garage reverse hit feature? At least give us an option to choose. So stupid.

Wish ea gave us an option to have protect the puck or reverse hit. So many times I lost the puck by forgetting X is reverse hit not protect the puck anymore.

Yeah, my problem is that when I’m trying to deke at fast speeds the player always protects the puck cause I’m pushing L3 too hard 😂 takes some getting used to but we’ll get there

@@balls2997 It’s all muscle memory when your brain is so used to something for so many years. I am doing it less and less but just i would like option to have old way back. Fifa / fc /24 allows that with its controls

Why? It allows you to actually accelerate while protecting the puck. Which is something you could never do in previous years.

Trying to deek while using speed burst is so shit ...so many breakaways ruined 😪

I actually like protect puck this way . Got a little getting used to but it’s good

the dualsense edge with L3 mapped in the back button makes this easy

I'm not struggling at all to protect the puck in NHL 24 because I didn't buy this garbage.

Here's something I don't understand still... Can you go straight from protecting puck into a wrist shot? You're protecting the puck with the left stick held in and your right stick at 9:00... Can you pull the right stick down to six and rotate it up to 12 to get a wrist shot without letting go of the left stick?

They need to remove the tether on the goalie being restricted on movement is another terrible feature in this game

Does EA understand Sony doesn’t make joysticks that can handle this. I have broken scontrollers from the abrasive abuse of sprinting and pressing L3 and R3 for almost everyth8nf

This is actually good. Protecting the puck in previous years always felt like skating in sand.

This move with higher checker is op. Exploit this and you can protect puck gain pressure and wait for open side. Annoying!

How often do you mash/hold speed boost when youre skating in the offensive zone?

Honestly I think this control scheme isn’t so bad after all, gets rid of having to take my thumb off of the right stick now or having to use a claw grip for no reason

Wish they gave us a proper fkn hockey game. Same with football. But nhl is worse
