How to prospect for 3 rare types of gold deposits, learn about their geology and formation

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Would you like to hunt for some little known but sometimes rich varieties of gold deposits? They often carry with them silver and some base metals as well, making them quite rich. When they erode, they can make placer deposits too - and that’s one of the ways of finding them. In fact, some placer deposits where no one knows the source of the gold may well come from these types of lesser-known deposits. Perhaps you could be the one to discover the source after watching this video! The three types of ore deposits we are going to look at today are all associated with bodies of granitic / felsic related igneous intrusive rocks. The nature of the ore deposits vary in type with the chemistry of the intrusive rocks, the depth of emplacement of the intrusive body in the crust and with distance from the igneous intrusive pluton contact. The three types are 1) skarn deposits, 2) polymetallic replacement deposits and 3) polymetallic vein deposits.
I mention my video on epithermal deposits in this video. You can find that video here: • You can find Bonanza r...

The deposits in the video have much more silver and gold, and they are associated with nearby intrusions of granitic type rocks. Mississippi Valley type have much less silver and gold and are not associated with nearby intrusions of granitic type rocks. Both are found in limestone rocks and are frequently rich in lead-zinc.

@@ChrisRalph actually Chris there are intrusive formations of rhyolite and granite and it is intruding through limestone. The Saint Francis mountain in Madison county Missouri is a very rare and prime example. Geologic maps show granite. One of the largest producers of granite. Iron mountain. This trend continues in the Ozark plateau region. I’m in iron county Missouri and have found intrusive granitic rocks with hydrothermal activity as well. So, very interesting analysis. With that being said 30 percent of lead mines contain gold and there are many here. Don’t get me wrong Chris I’m not attacking your response. I’ve found ore piles as well, breccia quarts cemented with manganese. There is no lead or noticeable minerals in this breccia except manganese. I’m just very passionate. The ore coming out of viburnum is a dolostone which i believe is metamorphic sedimentary, but I have located intrusions of igneous slowly being revealed through erosion. Im not trying to kick a dead horse here my. Great conversation, thank you for allowing me to pick your brain. God bless.

Hey Chris, I live in northern nevada and have been watching a lot of your content and poking around my community Cold Springs. Are you familiar with the area? Specifically there’s several massive waste rock piles right off 395 on white lake parkway to the right side. I am not sure what was mined there and I have been unable to locate a portal or adit but I have found incredible quartz specimens and also a lot of rich copper rock with the green/blue oxidation. The area seems to be a massive granite extrusion that meets up with a volcanic slate type rock. Curious if you have any knowledge or info on the area considering your a fellow Nevadan!

"If the Old Timer's saw it, they took it." I live close and look at Rich Hill, AZ everyday and wonder what was going through A.H. Peeples mind when he picked up over 300 ounces of nuggets on the Potato Patch in one day back in 1863. It's a rugged climb to reach the top, but I bet that trip down wasn't too heavy. 😉

Like your great videos hope can meet you personally some day Maybe you met my father Charles E Willmore was prospector in Utah Nevada and Arizona passed in 1984 not good story life is truly hard struggle.I try to learn his trade on you tube from your wonderful videos His mining claims were for gold silver veins in Harcuvar Mountains by Parker La Paz Az a couple of miles Eastt of Parker lake Havasu i think have not been in the area since 1982 83? Also had uranium claims in location further North very close to Colorado River bend by Native American district the documents on these prospects disappeared from home...and a huge kyanite prospect mining claims disappeared after It took me 34 years to find the claims and documents vanished again from home Very long odyssey. He lived in Albuquerque NM also had Phd in public Administration and masters in computer sciende from Berkeley worked in budget bureau of NM Weekends packed the truck and did long drive to nice town nearby the mine called Salome Az was sort of his base He worked briefly in 1949 -51 believe as geologist in Texas w Slumberger when I was a child Thanks for your dedication.

It would REALLY help if you show pictures of any and all types of rocks you say with your mouth. The words only mean something to people who already know what they look like. Like just use half the screen and put up a picture of whatever thing you are talking about - you don't have to change what you say to incorporate this - just add the very critical information mebeginner needs a lot of help identifying! Thanks. Really enjoy your tubes. I'd love to hear more geology. And thank you so much for using diagrams and pictures!

I would recommend that you watch my videos on how to Identify minerals for yourself. Part 1 can be found here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f6SfuZdxisi3nMY.html and Part 2 can be found here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIOL0ZZyiJyWl6Q.html and Part 3 can be found here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kZWWl7Cnl7XShto.html - Those videos should answer a lot of your questions and give you a better grasp on what it takes to identify minerals. A single photos really does not do to ID minerals - it’s not as easy as you think.

Hello teacher, don't be tired, I am following your programs from Iran. I asked you if it is possible for you to teach me about extracting precious metals from rocks and soil through WhatsApp or Telegram. I will talk to you with Google Translate. Thank you. Your kindness and magnanimity, from the way of lithology, the characteristics of the stones you have are precious metals, until we can grind the stones and extract the base metal with borax and carbon (charcoal) and the combination with the primary stone that we powdered. and then perform the purification of precious metals, and why during the initial melting, two pieces of iron or steel are placed inside the plant, in general, what I am saying is that I want to extract metals from the heart of rocks and soil and find them from inside the houses. I want to learn the gold nugget from the soil of the house, is there a way for your programs to be subtitled in Farsi?

    1. I do not speak Farsi, so I cannot help you. 2. I do not offer any services for personal training, consulting or advisement. I get many such requests and simply do not have time to help all who ask. I do wish you the best of luck, but I am sorry that I cannot offer any help on that level.

We studied how minerals all form in the earths crust in Petrology in school... primarily all minerals form from one mineral amalgam and its the decompression and cooling rates that cause all of the different types of minerals to form. (Seemed far fetched to me), but consider a liquid core churning and mixing and you could easily have one substance from which all minerals are made as they cool and decompress at different rates. No doubt heat and pressure and cooling are all factors in the makeup of the earths crust and its minerals.
