I like that your teaching style is not rushed and you not only explain things very well, but you enunciate so that people like me can hear and understand you. I have been watching your videos and am working up the courage to paint a Baltimore Ravens themed pair of Airforce 1s for my husband for Christmas. an in depth video like this was definitely needed!! awesome! as for the swoosh: i like to put my hand/finger inside the shoe and actually lift up the swoosh a little, getting under the swoosh to guarantee no spills!

Very usefull ! Especially for the gaffer tape, I was worry to use it cause of potential residues

I seriously appreciate your videos, did just junk throw away shoes to practice, but couldnt find a tape that stuck to either the sock liner or the midsole, BUT thanks to this video, itll all be here monday! i appreciate your tutorials man

I've found some specialty tapes at the big box home repo store, like the metal duct tape that comes with a backing paper, is super thin, very strong adhesive but peels off without leaving residue, and conforms to any curve. And in electrical is a super thin rubber tape, good adhesive and super flexible. This is not regular vinyl electrical tape.

THANK YOU!!! So glad to finally have some new stuff to try out. I am not a very talented artist but I definitely enjoy painting shoes. I get teased alot with how much time it takes me to prep shoes. Hahaha...it's all good for me though it has been fun even though I am not good at all with painting any objects. It doesn't matter to me though censored I just enjoy every step of the process. I am really grateful for your videos. Thank you very much

Man I’m doing my first shoe restoration and tapeis absolutely vital. A cheap tape will allow paint to bleed through, leave residue and tear paint, so investing in good tape is worth it.

Very helpful! I found another EXCELLENT tape that I personally use for the sock lining with is the nexcare waterproof medical tape( light brown in color)! I’ve been using for some months and it leaves no residue and sticks for days, you should give it a try!

By the way, any advice for me I'm new to customizing and it seems like I have a hard time getting a perfect line with the green tape between upper and midsole. Yeah my best tip is really just making sure that you go back and apply a lot of pressure on the tape with your fingernail to really get it pressed down hard

any thoughts on a Liquid Masking Tape? (replaces painters tape)

I like to use newspaper to fill the shoe and tape the top

To cover the soles I use the 7 inch tape paper for automotive painting. It doesn't take much tape and its cheaper than using the 3 inch wide strips to cover the whole sole

It really depends what youre asking about. Heat transfer vinyl is what is commonly used on shirt application. But if youre asking what vinyl is used to paint on shoes and them remove - thats not heat transfer vinyl

Which tape can be used on suede shoes?

Can you use the green scotch tape on the shoe and the swoosh as well

Prep is going to be a much larger factor in that, but some of the finishers I recommend are Angelus matte finisher, krylon matte spray, and liquid kickz

There is always that one person who missed the like button and ended up hitting the dislike button...
