@@Dani-ir3pz As a rep for Helmet House, Bell puts Arai to shame. The DLX series is known to fit strange but they also offer S/M and M/L sizes as well as up to 4x. You get MIPS with bell and theyre both similar in price. Aria is expensive but only because they are "hand made" and they have more than one shell shape option. but more than 60% of the helmet is still made in a factory. Bell has magnetic cheek pads so no more snapping pads in. All the DLX's come with a self tinting pro shields (if ur dealer isnt a d!ck.) Aria is still nice but there's better helmets that are the same price but safer, quieter, and have more options *cough RF-1400 cough*

I know they're not the greatest helmet but icon fit me the best. I just made sure to buy one of the higher end icons. XL
He forgot to mention that they break in. When you try it on in the store it might feel like a vice grip but a few months later it will fit comfortably.

@@Damiantjuh I recommend a helmet all the time although that makes me hypocrite. I once highsided (where the back tire losses traction and the bike lunches you into the air) and I was only going about 20-25mph but my body flew about 10 feet and i landed head first and I extinctly remember the side of my head literally bouncing off the ground and thinking "wow my head bounced alot". 100% would of been dead or a vegetable if I didn't have a helmet on.

The quality and tone of these are just incredible.
My dad taught me how to size a helmet about the same way when I started, great job helping people understand safety.. we can have fun and get home in 1 piece too
Btw don’t worry if it feels very tight at the beginning, it will break in and adjust to your size. Mine took about 4 hours of use to adjust

The guy who sold me my helmet did tell me stuff like this but just like with the questions I'm asked at a doctors office, I never know how I feel 😭 I'm glad I can return the helmet I ended up buying if it doesn't fit.
Can’t beat actually trying different brands/models in different sizes. It does make a difference.

Astonishing how he gets more helmet fitting info in a one minute short then the majority of people do in a half hour video.

Good tips for the lil domes too
Even if you followed head measurements, every helmet manufacturers seems like have different standards to their helmet size. This guy underlining the importance of helmet fitting is good advice. Go to helmet store and try a bunch of helmet, also ask for guidance there.
Keep in mind it should be a little tight at the start, as the pads will get softer after a couple of uses. And after you wash it. If you are in between sizes, choose the smaller size
I like the fact that not only is he teaching us but he’s also roasting the shi out of our big ass heads 😂
I have a big ass melon and it's always a bit of a challenge to find a proper fitting and comfy enough helmit. When I saw this video I almost does laughing cuz of how u explained everything lol. But u still explained it better than most people that work in the stores I've bought helmets.
Okay this is the best advuce I’ve gotten. The crown of my head is where most the pressure is leads to a headache. I’m trying it out right now

This works so much better! My dumbass has been trying on biggest to smallest helmets til i found one that fit me
I have the NXR2 large - plain ass white. Love it but whilst it fits me well it settles further back on my head than I'd like - so I'm booked for the Shoei PFS in a couple of weeks - where they tweak the liner to account for head shape rather than the basic head circumference measurement. Shoei for the win ❤
Literally watched your videos for awhile and just now subbed all because you insulted us big ass headed riders. Thanks for all your tips my dude
I love this page best advice with the sailors mouth, lol keep it up dude great content
Mine felt super tight and comfy in the store, only 2hrs riding and some heat exposed the hot spots. You can't get a proper idea by just trying it on in the store. The helmet shape rabbit hole is deep.
Glad to know this . I'm getting a bike soon . Looking at gear. Some helmets look good but if it doesn't fit right then it's a no go for me I don't need it flying off if god forbid I cash or someone hits me
I sold helmets for over a decade and have been riding for 45 years, nice iob.👍
thx for the tips man i had some trouble choosing helmet size for beginner like me 😀

Yes, I do have a big fucking head and I now realize that I bought a size too big. I’m gonna go back to the store and find one that fits my melon perfectly . Thank you!
And don't forget head shape. Most of ya'll will be fine, some of us have a long ass damn head and have very few choices for a comfortable helmet since there's only a few that make long ovals....

Thanks for the advice to get a new helmet
All brands are different so a Large Bell might be too tight but yet a Normal Shoei could feel a little looser. There’s also oval and circle head shapes for helmets so you need to figure out which one you are. Go to a helmet shop and try a bunch on
earned a sub for the outro 🤣
Also need to consider that helmets come in different head shapes. The only helmet I've had that actually fit correctly is an Arai Signet-X, which has the longest-oval head shape of any production helmet. I had Shoeis before that, and they always created a pressure point across my forehead.
I keep watching you and I'm gonna be a expert 🤣
Im totally buying one for how it looks. Currently rockin the walmart special on my ebike but id prefer a sweet DOT. Good info btw

having braces definetly hurts btw but if it fits right itll hurt so thats how yk lol
I use a balaclava most of the time, thin in summer and thicker in winter, and so it’s important to go a size up.
I always thought i had a fat ass head, so my first helmet was naturally a large that i bought. Second helmet shopping at a cycle gear and the guy helped me there. Turns out im a actually a medium, with Shoei at least. Could definitely feel the difference though. Old helmet always felt loose.
Saved me from returning the helmet i really loved😢❤❤

I fucc wit u my guy… I love riding and regret selling my bike but had to for the family… but I’m a naked bike guy and looking for another now…thanks for all the advise
Damn And I have a big ass head....😂
I couldn't fit any helmet because of the shape of my big ass head. Wide cheekbones and slanted forehead meaning something that fit horizontally was to big vertically. Eventually I had settled with an airoh st 501 in the L size. There's a little bit wiggle room but it fits snugly nonetheless.
Great content, thanks 🙌
Love the humor 😭
I remember when I was buying my first helmet my dad was with me I had measured myself and got it right and when I found a helmet that fit perfectly he just smacked me in the side of the head and said "Well it stayed on and you aren't unconscious so it will work"
Love the energy 😂😂
Good video man!!
😂😂😂 that last part tho 😅😂
Glad i seen this before i bought mines.
Wish they made long oval AGVs. I'm stuck with 2 or 3 brands because of my stupid head shape. Shoei makes the Signet but I really don't care for the look of Signet's. All the really good helmets are round and intermediate oval that lean closer to round.
Some Scorpion helmets also have this air pad feature where you can inflate the interior to make it fit your head better.

Shape counts, so the size is meaning less if you have a narrow or round head.
I love your attitude 😂
The padding also wears down over the first few months so a tight helmet will start to get comfortable, do an actual fit test and don't rely on measurements as I've found manufacturers printing them incorrectly on the helmet and manual.
I normally wear a small cap size but my motorcycle helmet is a XL size!😊
Also check what shape head you have! Trying on a helmet in the store won't help with getting sore forehead after a 20 minute ride. I've had issues with both my helmets, due to the shape. It would be great if manufacturers did different shapes
I got an Aprillia tooooooooooooo DUDE!!!
Head shape plays a role in this as well. Some helmets regardless of size just won't fit right

Huh, I thought I bought too small helmet cuz it was squeezing my cheeks a little, but it's perfect according to your description!
What the industry needs is custom fit helmets, made to fit your specific head. Each head is a unique shape like a finger print. There are heat moldable footbeds for all sorts of sports related footwear (example: ski/snowboard boots). Why not custom fit helmet liners right in the store, like they do for boots in a ski shop? I'm looking at you Cycle Gear!
Got that Shoei in the same color.
