Same here. I've been sitting in a chair with the seat pulled all the way forward and didn't know. Much more comfortable now and the use of the lumbar support actually makes sense.

Wow it made a hell of difference tightening my lumbar! I never knew it would take so much work to get the chair in the right adjustments...I was in so much pain sitting in a $1k chair compared to a wooden one.

I do have a lot of issues because I believe of my shape. I have a Tech neck and humb that juts forward. I also have a highly adjustable chair but can't find the perfect combination. So thanks for this info!

@@ValerieFire I got the Branch Ergonomic Chair. I'm not an expert but it seems to be a good upgrade from my previous chair which wasn't adjustable at all.

First of all you should adjust seat height to the desk height which is typically fixed, so that the elbows are rougly at the height of the desk. If legs do not reach to the floor in that position, footrest should be used. So basically I think seat height should be adjusted to the desk and not to the legs length.

@@HozDHearts sometimes it is enough but some desks are really high, then a high seat + footrest is the solution

i love how no matter what job u have u always have problems desk jockeys get bad blood flow or very uncomfortable while people who staand for 8 hrs get massive feet problems and people who crouch (mostly field workers) get the some of the worst back problems so i found the cause of these problems and found the solution which is to not get a job :)

Incredibly helpful, I just made several adjustments to my chair and also slightly to my desk height - feeling much more comfortable

I didn't really have a lot of choices. There were only 2 chairs at Home Depot short enough for me to sit while being able to touch the floor.

So i just got an ergonomic chair after sitting in a gaming chair for a long time. Is it normal that my body need to adjust to sitting ergonomically? I can feel my back adjusting to the chair a bit.

So I have a proper desk height and chair height. My feet are flat against the floor but somehow my legs and feet have the tendency to bend in toward the core of the chair. It feels more comfortable that way but it's ergonomically incorrect. So, I'm wondering if this means a foot rest would be useful for me? is my upper back/shoulders supposed to touch the chair? Most chairs lean back in the upper part. Am I supposed to sit straight so my upper back doesn't touch the chair, or should my entire back touch the chair?

Do we need armrests tho? If the desk is low, the seat is low and feet flat on ground and your arms are 90 degrees and resting on the table

shoulder arthroplasty is the surgical replacement of the shoulder joint. You may be thinking of shoulder impingement or arthritis.

1:20, how it can be 1inch, when I am 191cm tall - it's more like 10cm (4-5") :) I use ergohuman chair

They honestly didnt clarify this well enough, pretty sure they just threw it out there and hoped people just accept it as fact. With pelvic tilt, they didnt specify if they were talking about anterior or posterior. Kinda sus

Foot rest companies are kinda stupid. Most of them make the foot rest that is only about 17" wide which is narrower than most chairs. Unless you put two feet right next to each other, 17" is too narrow and you will most likely put your feet at the edge of each corner.

Say 'Office Chair' one more time. I dare you.

@@xflqme1333 craigslist. people need to get rid of these things all the time when they move, and there are way more people selling than buying so you can get a like-new chair for like 75% off.

Just buy a good quality gaming chair and it will force you to sit the proper posture.
