    Awesome job dun correctly! Took me 2 years 2 complete my S2 24’ blister repair! Hard 2 believe U can fit over 1,000 blisters on such a small surface! Couldn’t buy help with the sanding part! Offered double minimum wage & no takers! WTF! I’m old & it was a lot of work! However, I can bask in the glory of knowing it was dun properly! 3 coats of epoxy barrier coat & 3 coats ablative! She will b good 2 go 4 a few years! Never blister again! Should outlive me! 👍

    Rookie question- how to you prep and paint around where the boat props/supports are?

  • @reversingentropy

    @reversingentropy

    Ай бұрын

    The answer is very simple, You have to move them 😆, sometimes you can get away with removing just one support and stand on just 3.

    Awesome video - how long did you let the open spots dry before filling them up with epoxy?

    Thanks. The process of grinding eliminated all the liquid. In other words i grinded past the liquid layer. Cheers

    @@Mco998-pf1wi yep. In my case the hull is about 10mm the liquid was about 2 or 3mm deep so it worked out perfectly.

    Hi just came across your channel and was wondering if you discovered why all the osmosis was only on one side of the hull??

  • @reversingentropy

    @reversingentropy

    I think on that side one of the resin layers had bad resin mix and didn't cure from factory properly. With time it started to osmose on just one side. But I can't be Shure

    Hi. I am no longer there. Stargazer is finally in the water again. It was a yard called venmar in Amora near Lisbon Portugal. for your information a 32 foot 9 ton boat costs about 80eur to haul out or in, and a month stay is about 200eur. Cheers.

    @@reversingentropy interesting, thnx for the reply. I found your video cause I am always looking for the evasion 32. Do a search on sailing under 5 sails with an evasion 32. If you can't find it I'll send you the picture. It's pretty cool. I knew they had osmosis problems and mostly they are overpriced on the internet. May i ask how much you paid pls?

    No boat has ever sunk from blisters. Like bumps on a golf ball they make it go faster. Making a big hole and then patching maybe not worth it. Paint the bottom and move on.
