I love that you stutter. I know that’s kinda odd to say but it makes me feel seen and it’s so reassuring to see another black girl with a similar struggle as me. My stutter is mostly induced by my anxiety and I can feel awkward talking in front of people or posting in KZread like I want. Also you’re hair goals af so that just made me more happy I found your channel as I start my loc journey. 💕💕

I make my own rose water. I add lavender and other herbs. It’s concentrated so I freeze it in ice trays and thaw out what I need and add distilled water to it.

Do u sell your rose water

I did EXACTLY THIS! Sprayed my hair with the rose water and aloe Vera juice mixture with a few drops of jojoba oil. I added a few drops of Peppermint oil- just because I love it so much. Then, followed up with my special oil blend (base is Jamaican Black Castor Oil). My scalp is at ease. No itching (which I usually experience alot of) and my hair feels moisturized without feeling drenched or weighed down. Thank you, Chyna!

Thank you I can’t wait to try this method! I’ve been experimenting with different products and I haven’t found the right mix for my hair. I am very active and I sweat a lot so I HAVE to wash my hair once a week and try to oil only after washing but my hair feels dry within a day or two.

@@queenrae91 I make Lavender water and it works well (all I do is put the herbs in distilled water and let it sit for at least 40 minutes then strain it). I also use calendula water and mix it with lemongrass and rosemary as a leave-in. As you see, I like tempting fate with herbs. 🤣

Girl...don't worry about all that other stuff, you are beautiful! When I saw your Rosewater, I had to click on your video. I LOVE Rosewater & Aloe Vera & I ordered 2 bottles of gel from Groupon but I used to buy the Plants from Walmart, & I have those other oils right in my bathroom. I watched a post on IG that adamantly states to spray our hair with water 1st THEN moisturize & seal with an oil so I will be moisturizing my scalp with my box braids. New subbie here ❤👍💪

I love using the rose water, jamaican black castor oil and avocado oil... Castor oil and avocado oil are like twin sisters! One is just thick while the other is light so I use the castor oil for my scalp and when I want the rest of my loccs moisterized I use avocado oil... It dont attract things to my hair... I also like to spray my hair with the rose water every day. Ur hair is beautiful and so are you sis!!!

You just taught me something & I just happen to have both of those oils. I was introduced to Rosewater w/Glycerin a few years ago & I gotta find the bottle that I bought or buy another one. I came across a post on IG that said you gotta water our hair 1ST THEN seal it with oils. I have box braids in my hair so I'm gonna moisturize my hair tonight

Hey!!your locs are gorgeous! As for your mister bottle just keep the nozzle rinsed with hot water to clean the spray hole because that mister bottle has a problem converting the oil you added to a mist. I have 3 of those mister bottles and it took me a while to figure out why it kept clogging up

Beautiful!! Love your locs! So healthy and full. I use rose water and aloe Vera juice as well but i doing mix them together only because my aloe Vera juice has to be refrigerated otherwise it will get mildew inside the bottle... and i also use jojoba and Jamaican Black castor... love how it makes my locs feels. I did a YT video on moisturizing my hair and rose water has been a game changer. Amazon has the Heritage Rose water in 1 gallon bottle. I got tired of buying the small bottles. I do keep the smaller bottles and refill them with the 1 gallon bottle.

@@JamaicanToast I think that happens when you get a bad batch. I ordered the same as her, 3 pack from Amazon, and one of the bottles smelled slightly like mildew. I didn’t notice until I sprayed it on my face and thought I was tripping smelling mildew. You have to be careful and smell before applying.

Yup, rosewater and aloe vera juice, freakin awesome. I buy distilled rosewater at Walmart in the international food section for 2.99 cad, it comes in a glass bottle. Aloe vera juice from walmart as well or I make my own. For oil, I add baobab because it's so light and absorbs so fast. No greasy feeling, I don't like oily moisture. I used rosewater only at one point, until I discovered the healing benefits of aloe vera juice. For a long time I didn't even add any oil to the rosewater. I would just add a little silk peptide powder to the rosewater and the moisturization....omg. I couldn't stop feeling up my locs, lol. Baobab oil gives a very similar feeling, just moist and not weighed down.

Aha! SO many amazing ideas. I just ran to the bathroom half way through your video and mixed up some almond oil with patchouli and tea tree for my scalp. Found I had an almost full bottle of 99% pure aloe gel, put that on and now I have to wait until tomorrow to find a spray bottle for the rose water I have in my kitchen (I bought to make turkish delight!) Thank you for your wonderful ideas! You are lovely!

I usually do that type of moisturizing once a week where I really oil and my scalp and stuff but everyday I mostly just focus on my Locs if they feel dry that morning , I spray it and seal in the moisture.

@@Chynax_M yes ma'am no problem🥰🥰. I am 6 months into my journey. I really suck at moisturizing😒😒. Then my hair is mostly gray on top of that😳😳. However its a new day, I will get better😁😁. I just washed it🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️..not sure of I want to retwist or not🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️. I will moisturize though👍🏼👍🏼.

I used to buy rosewater from whole foods, but you can get it WAY cheaper, like 1.99 or 2.99 at international stores.

@@Chynax_M I have found it in African stores and Middle Eastern stores... normally they have several brands so I always make sure it's just rose water and nothing else added.

You said you couldn’t find aloe Vera. If you’re still in Dallas, the Walmart on Forest Ln and Abrams usually always has some. That’s where I get mine
