How to Properly Expose F-Log (or other log footage) every Single Time | Skin Tones & Other Tips!
In today's video I share with you the tools I use on how to properly expose F-Log footage (or slog or any other log footage), especially if you are exposing skin tones. If I am not shooting with an external monitor with false color, I make sure I always look at the histogram and the zebras and not just rely on the camera's meter.

I used to shoot from Sony camera but I had so much exposure issues and overheating issues I switched to my sisters iPhone! Thanks for explaining the pros and cons of each!

I will admit that I've been very lazy and not used S-Log in my recent projects. I've just been using S-cinetone and then minor corrections in post. I might start using S-log again!

Haha yeah most of the time I use HLG cuz I have a simple work flow with it but those conversion LUTS make it really easy these days.
Hey do you recommend to shoot flog in low light? I’ve heard it’s not that’s favourable

You can. Not all cameras perform the same in low light. My best advice is to run tests, use external lighting and fast lenses
Would you also use 70% zebras for Eterna/Non-log footage on the camera when shooting people?

I would say so if you want to accurately expose for skin tones. But generally if I'm not in LOG, I expose to the middle as much as possible and you can couple that with zebras.

Sometimes. Mostly if you are shooting outdoors in bright situations. The best practice is trial and error and see how it looks on your editor.
