The hardest sound for us French people is not THS, it's NG as in ING, we say an N and then a G, so STRENGTHS is the hardest word in your list for me to pronounce. In French, the word GENRE is one syllable, not 2 syllables as you thought and as it is pronounced in English, because the E at the end of a French word is never ever stressed, never ever pronounced.

Hello Teacher, I love your way of teaching English hard words and pronunciation. American people are pronouncing the word with R sound louder while British people pronounce the R words in a silent way. I love the way of British people speak and their word pronunciation teacher

Thanks Ms Laura. Could you please make a video on pronouncing "S" followed by a consonant when a word starts with it. For example SCHOOL, SCREEN, SPARE etc. in Pakistan Urdu speaking people pronounce them as, Iss-kool, Iss-creen, Iss-pair; whereas, non-urdu speaking particularly Punjabi speaking people pronounce them as Sa-kool, Sak-reen, Sa-pair etc. After stdying phonetisc and phonology, I tell them both are wrong. It is neither "Iss" nor "Sa". Actually, in this condition with a word starting with a "S" followed by a consonant, we should utter a small hissing sound of "ss" like ss-kool, ss-creen, ss- pare rather than stressing "iss" or "sa". Please help by making a video on it. Thanks again.

I LOVE YOU!!! The perfect video ever! And what I would like to ask you: How to pronouce -THS -STS -XTH? You did it! Your mouth is a miracle lol. BTW, I'm french and I said con-for-table while I was reading "confortable" then I realized I don't pronouce this word like that but conf-table. It was not the first time I made this mistake. Is it a common mistake?
