How to pronounce Japanese つ tsu ( big つ)

I've heard that some non-native speakers have trouble pronouncing つtsu.
I hope this video will help them.

This is cool! We borrow the word Tsunami in the US and I've always (unknowingly) pronounced it with the Tsu featured here even though others say it with a silent T (like Sue). Though I'm not actually sure which is the correct pronunciation in Japanese for Tsunami specifically since I'm not studying the language, still very interesting!

Hmm... It sounded like "zi" to me as in Chinese word 姿 (姿态 zi tai)or 滋 (滋养 zi yang). But still thank you for making this video and providing some examples with つ. Arigatogozaimasu 😅😆😁 It's very useful and helpful for absolute beginner like me.

the 't' sound in 「つ」 attaches to the preceding letter. For example, the word 'まつ' (to wait) is pronounced 'mat-su', Am I right?

Hmmm , that's an interesting idea but 待つ doesn't sound “mat su "for me. I think it will work so it will be OK in daily conversations.
