Liz Cow sound's starting position in modern standard Southern British is more forward exactly as Cat. I hear it most often. People start it fairly forward.

Hi Liz Hope you're oKAy When someone say how are you? I say um okAy . Replacing I,Am & O with schwa and stressing "kay" clearly. I could just say "okay" response to question but if im using contractions" I'm " I don't need to stress" I'm" coz question has been asked about me. Both of us know each other. Also, easier to reach to "Kay" therefore stress better.What do you think?

Hi Josh. The best way that you've described is the second way with the schwa. Some speakers just use a long schwa sound after the consonant sound as it's easier and quicker in fast speech. However you may be at risk of not being understood.❤️&🕊️

Hi. Thank you! In answer to your question, 'here' and 'hear' sound exactly the same. Firstly, do not say the r at the end of the word. Start by saying the word 'he' /hi:/ with your mouth only slightly open, then release the sound by opening your jaw more to make the 'uh' sound, which we call the schwa. Practise until you can say the 2 sounds together, smoothly. (Heuh) Hope this helps 🙂 ❤️ & 🕊
