I have had my new style GMC Sierra since 2007 and always wondered how to program the garage door opener. This tutorial was simple to understand, and believe it or not, took me less than one minute to program my truck. GOOD JOB!!

Thank you, Antlerdreamer. Your's is the only one I could find where the light configuration matched my vehicle, also a 2012 Yukon. All other videos should one single light and they program differently. Those I have used before successfully, but this one had to be different, of courses. At least your video gave some key tips as to the change. Helpful to others in this situation may be, DON'T involve your current handheld device, Push the outside buttons for just a couple seconds then release, they all three will blink, hit the button on the lift itself then, back to the vehicle push and hold the button you want programed the door will respond, let go and let it finish blinking... This worked for me. Best of luck to you ALL !

Does this work for newer garage door openers?

Does this feature work even if the key is not in the ignition?

Will try this on our 2014 Chevy Impala tomorrow. Most videos on KZread only show vehicles that have one Home Link light...ours has three and so the videos never help us out.

My garage door motor is over 40 feet in the air. So this isn't going to work.

Apparently my trucks opener is disconnected cuz it ain’t working. I follow the manual step by step. The light blinks slowly as it should and nothing happens. Around 25 seconds it starts rapidly blinking. Anyone?

It does, he just selected the right button for this tutorial. It's to the discretion of the owner which button to use.
