Thank you for this quick video. I really needed to reset the previous pair mode and it worked. I did meed to use the handheld garage opener for programming still but otherwise very helpful.

Very cool- i didn't know you could do it this way! I'm having issues programming in my 2015 Accord with the remote. I'll see if the opener has a learn button and if so, ill try this. Thanks for the great video! 👍

I'm needing to do this with my '24 Outback, 'cause I lost the remote. After you pressed 1 and 3 until it cleared, did you have to press and release the button in the car several times after you pressed the "learn" button on the door opener? Or, were you able to press and hold the button in the car until it worked? Thanks!

I cannot not get the GDO to read the home link in 2022 Lexus RX. The house icon and a flashing orange light came up after on mirror after pressing the reset button on right and first one on left. Please advise 😢

For the newer Lexus (when you have the car parked close to the garage of course) > Find and press and hold (or do a single press for some openers) the learn button on your garage door opener until you see a flashing or solid light > Right after go back to the car and press the HomeLink button you're pairing it to but 4 times (one second between each press) and press and hold on the 4th press until the pair is complete.

I believe a remote is required for the G37s. There's cheap ones on Amazon, just look up the brand of your garage opener first.

If there's multiple garage door buttons (usually it's marked 1, 2 and 3) it maybe possible. Just skip the clear step and do the rest but using a different button of course.

Not sure since I only have one car. But my educated guess is yes since we're not reseting the garage opener itself.

Could not get it to connect with 14 murano. Got it reset but not connected

It should connect, just have to remember to set the garage open to program (as shown in the video) first then do the last step in the car. If you did do all the steps a remote maybe required or you may just have to get the car closer to the garage (or in it) to pair.

Will that procedure work for a second car without erasing the first car cause that’s my problem?

Select the HomeLink icon on the touchscreen on the top left hand corner > select HomeLink Settings > Add New HomeLink > Add a name then select Create HomeLink > Now you can either follow the steps in this video or stand in front of the car then press hold the button on the portable garage open until it starts blinking letting you know it's in pair mode (if you have one)

Both but to be safe you could leave it running.

I did all that then I found a pamphlet in my car which I had to download an app. The app had a step by step process to make sure it recognized the remote and receiver.

So I don't have a garage panel, just the doorbell on the wall to open and close button.

There's another way that may work. If you have a remote (or you can unscrew the wall button since it's basically a remote) try pressing the button on it and the button in the car at the same time then hold. Repeat a couple times if needed. I will say, I left this method out of the video because it's more like a rumor I couldn't confirm to be true. It didn't work for me but I'm not sure if it's just not compatible with what I have or not.

I also have the yellow button one and it refused to work without a remote. Ended up purchasing one, programming it to work then using it to program the car and it worked. We’re keeping the remote in another car that doesn’t have this garage door opening feature on the rear view mirror.
