Watched this and a couple other videos before attempting on my Q5 B8. Mine was a little simpler to do but the instruction and completness was appreciated. Had upper and lower bank1 out in an hour and the injector on cylinder 3 replaced and all re-assembled in 3 hours. Thought it would take me a lot longer. Thanks for the instruction.

Your video helped me a lot. I’ll go slow and use common sense when re-connecting all of these wires and hoses. But I’m afraid it’s going to be a disaster.

That’s the best thing to do, (DO NOT) rush, I’ve been there before lol.

The PCV vent valve. @7’35” into your video. Mine will not release-the black hose fitting. The o ring may be fused or something. And the hose is also cracked. Do you have any advice on diy hose crack fix? And is this o-ring easily replaceable?

Just get a pair of pliers and break the connection loose.

How the heck do you remember where all the connectors go that you removed upon re-assembly?

You mark them pretty much, it’s not completely complicated, but mark where you pull them from or if it’s easier just use different colors of nail polish to know exactly where they connect back to.

Can my oil cooler cause my coolant to mix in my oil

Yes it can! But if your oil is milky I’d bet it’s your head gasket

If it’s milky in the coolant reservoir then it’s one or two things, the oil cooler, or the head gasket. (Exhaust side)

@@marcosgillard5721 it just depends on what the culprit is, I’d personally go with the easier one first, at least know where your standing so you won’t be blind to the real issue, start with the oil cooler first, replace it and if that doesn’t fix the problem then you need to check your head gasket, they are both very cheap fixes if you do them yourself but a shop will definitely charge you over 2k just to change what you are possibly going to need.
